When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Farouq has medium-sized shops mixed with residential buildings, and the retail spaces here are tighter than Petromin with precision ductwork needed from outdoor units often tucked in side alleys or on tight balconies. The main street gets intense heat and shop doors open straight on to it, so the system must resist heat leakage fast and keep stock humidity safe without water pooling in corridors or basement storage.
Al Farouq, in south Jeddah, is a mixed shopping and residential district with narrow alleys and shop doors opening directly on to a hot main street.
Shops here run small central systems or multiple split units, with outdoor units mounted on narrow balconies or in side alleys due to space constraints.
The AC setup in Al Farouq
- 1
Multiple splits or small central system
Tight spaces favour either several split units spread around or a compact central system, depending on shop layout and door size.
- 2
Outdoor units in side alleys or tight balconies
Al Farouq is a busy main street, so outdoor units are tucked in side alleys to reduce noise on the street frontage.
- 3
Seasonal servicing during low-traffic periods
Al Farouq shops prefer scheduling service on quieter days or off-peak times to avoid disrupting daily sales.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
The side alleys are very narrow; how do you install outdoor units?
We inspect the alley and available space beforehand, may use special wall brackets on tight balconies, and ensure solid fixing and proper drainage.
The open door lets cool air escape; does the system compensate?
We calculate the heat load based on door size and daily opening frequency, choose units strong enough to re-cool quickly, but may recommend air curtains or double doors for better efficiency.
The basement storage is very damp; will the AC dry the air?
The unit reduces humidity in the shop, but basement storage may need separate treatment with better drainage and additional ventilation. We inspect during the visit and recommend a suitable solution.
Maintenance times hit sales; can you do quick visits?
Yes, we focus on efficient inspections and quick filter and drain cleaning. We agree the best time with you, usually at opening or after close.
