When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Khaleej is a fast-growing northern area with shops and malls spread across wide streets between active construction sites and main roads. Dust and debris here are heavier than other zones because building works and traffic are constant, making filters clog faster and cooling efficiency drop. AC units need frequent filter, coil and duct cleaning to prevent blockage and keep cold airflow steady.
Al Khaleej sits in north Jeddah between main roads and active construction projects, a district of modern shops and malls with high dust and debris from traffic and building sites.
Most shops and malls here run powerful central systems or high-capacity multi-split units to handle the heavy thermal load.
The AC setup in Al Khaleej
- 1
Strong central system for larger malls
Large malls here use one strong central system with distribution ducts, built to handle heavy thermal load and high dust.
- 2
High-capacity multiple split units
Mid-sized shops and smaller rows use high-capacity multiple split units to balance the harsh heat efficiently.
- 3
Advanced filters and insulated ducts
Systems here use advanced high-grade filters and insulated ducts to reduce cooling losses and shield against heavy dust infiltration.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Khaleej
- 1
Ensure safe access to the outdoor unit
Most outdoor units sit on roofs or high walls, so confirm safe access routes and ladders before the appointment.
- 2
Prepare a clean spot for the team to stage tools
The team needs a clean, safe area inside the shop or mall to lay out tools and parts during servicing.
- 3
Schedule servicing around business hours
Confirm the visit time avoids peak traffic hours or critical sales periods for the shop.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
Dust from roads and construction here is very heavy; how often should filters be cleaned?
In high-dust areas like Al Khaleej, we recommend cleaning or replacing filters every month to six weeks, not the standard three months. Heavy dust cuts airflow and strains the unit.
Coils and ducts get clogged fast from dust; does that reduce cooling?
Yes, dust buildup on coils and ducts disrupts cold airflow and cuts cooling efficiency sharply. We recommend cleaning coils and ducts at least every three months in high-dust areas.
Heat in Al Khaleej is very harsh; is the recommended capacity enough?
The unit sizing calculation accounts for peak temperatures, lighting and expected foot traffic. If your space is large or lighting is brighter than average, you may need higher capacity than standard recommendations.
Salt and dust from the air affect the outdoor unit; how do we protect it?
We recommend installing a protective canopy over the outdoor unit and cleaning it every two months of dust, salt and sediment to prevent rust and corrosion.
