When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Nada is a relatively newer eastern district mixing small specialist shops, services and residential space. Buildings are generally newer or mid-age, but designs vary and floor plates are tight. Most shops run small to medium splits, some with window units. Relative humidity is fairly high, especially post-summer, so drain-pan and duct maintenance is essential. Dust is seasonal, and lighting is usually strong in modern shops.
Al Nada sits in east Jeddah, a relatively new district of small shops and specialist retail in modern buildings.
Al Nada shops mostly use small separate split units, with few central systems because floor plates are tight and buildings are newer.
The AC setup in Al Nada
- 1
Small independent split for tight shops
Most small Al Nada shops use one small split unit with an indoor unit on the wall and outdoor unit on the façade or balcony.
- 2
Window units in very small or older units
Very small spaces or attached shops in Al Nada use a single window unit for low cost and quick setup.
- 3
Double split for medium-sized shops
Medium-sized Al Nada shops may use two split units for even coverage and better cold-air distribution.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Nada
- 1
Tell us about shop size, lighting and daily use
Before we visit, clarify floor size, lighting intensity and daily trading hours to assess the right unit size.
- 2
Confirm outdoor unit location or available space
If you have an existing unit, tell us where it is. If not, clarify available space on the façade, balcony or any safe location.
- 3
Ensure safe power supply and earthing
Modern Al Nada shops usually have good wiring, but confirm there is a nearby outlet for the indoor unit and that earthing is reliable.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
The shop is small and space is tight, which AC type fits best?
For small Al Nada shops, one small to medium split is the best fit. Simple installation, independent control and reasonable cost make it ideal for tight spaces.
After summer, humidity is very high in the shop, does AC alone solve it?
AC cuts humidity, but very high post-summer humidity may need a thorough check of drain pan, ducts and insulation. If humidity stays high despite the AC, we might suggest an additional dehumidifier or ventilation upgrade.
The lighting is very bright in my shop and the AC runs constantly, is this normal?
Very bright lighting raises cooling load significantly. If your current unit is undersized, it will run constantly. We recommend reviewing your lighting type and switching to energy-efficient bulbs, or assessing whether a larger unit is needed.
The shop and AC are new, when do I need the first maintenance?
Even new units need a check after a month or two to confirm safe connection and correct operation. After that, we recommend maintenance every three to six months depending on usage and dust.
