When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Nuzha is a central district with diverse shops and shopping centres ranging from small independent stores to medium-scale complexes. Its central location means moderately lower heat than the north and medium humidity. Cooling works at moderate stress, but architectural diversity means cooling needs vary zone to zone. Small-to-medium central systems or multiple split units are common, with regular maintenance keeping performance steady.
Al Nuzha lies in central Jeddah, a diverse commercial district with shops and centres of varying sizes.
Systems here range from small central units to multiple split systems, depending on each centre's size and design.
The AC setup in Al Nuzha
- 1
Small central systems for medium centres
Medium-sized centres run small central systems with one or two outdoor units and limited duct distribution.
- 2
Multiple splits for small independent shops
Small shops and limited spaces rely on one or two split units each, simplifying maintenance.
- 3
Ducts distributed by building layout
In larger centres, ducts follow the existing building layout, avoiding major structural changes where possible.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
Small shops and medium centres need different systems, how do we choose the right one?
Small shops or spaces under 100 sq m usually do well with one or two split units. Larger centres need a small central system. We visit and analyse thermal loads before recommending.
Our shopping centres are somewhat older, does the system just need redesign or replacement?
We assess current performance and technical condition. If the system still cools acceptably and refrigerant loss is low, cleaning and repair may suffice. If losses exceed 25 percent, partial or full replacement is wiser.
Can multiple systems in one centre be easily unified?
Unification is possible but complex, requiring redesigned ducts and compressor sets. In most cases, if separate systems work well, keeping them is simpler than merging.
How often should routine maintenance happen for diverse shops?
We recommend full maintenance twice yearly, before summer and before winter. Drain pans, filters and ducts should be cleaned monthly in summer.
