When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Rawabi is a relatively modern mixed residential and commercial zone with medium-sized shops, moderate glass frontages and fairly wide streets. The AC load here is lighter than Al Faisaliyah because footfall is lower and door traffic less frequent, but direct sun on glass still demands an efficient system. Maintenance can be scheduled more flexibly because the shops are smaller and closure days more common.
Al Rawabi sits in south Jeddah, a mixed residential and commercial zone with medium-sized shops and moderate glass fronts.
Most shops in Al Rawabi use either a multi-head split system or a simple central unit because of their medium size and available floor and ceiling space.
The AC setup in Al Rawabi
- 1
Multi-head split system
Medium-sized shops in Al Rawabi often choose multi-head splits because they are flexible, simple to install and allow zoning of the shop space.
- 2
Simple central ducted unit
Larger shops sometimes prefer a simple central system with one unit and distributed ceiling ducts for a clean, unified appearance.
- 3
Thermal insulation on glass fronts
Direct sun requires reflective film or external shades alongside the AC system to reduce the overall heat load.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Rawabi
- 1
Measure the shop floor area and ceiling height
Tell us the total floor area, ceiling height and any internal partitions before the visit so we can accurately estimate the heat load.
- 2
Confirm the facade orientation and windows
Tell us which way the glass front faces (north, south or east) and what hours it gets direct sun.
- 3
Decide the outdoor unit location
Confirm whether the outdoor unit can be mounted on the roof or side wall, away from the shop entrance.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
Is a split system or central ducting better for my small shop?
It depends on your shop size and layout. We visit first to assess the heat load and space, then recommend the most cost-effective and efficient option.
My shop's glass front faces the sun all day, does this increase cooling needs?
Yes, direct sun on glass raises the heat load noticeably. We recommend installing reflective film or exterior shades alongside an efficient AC system.
Can the AC be serviced while I'm trading?
Routine servicing is quick and minimal, but it's best to close for an hour or two. We'll coordinate a time that suits your trading pattern.
What about water drainage from split units on the shop front?
We install drainage pipes beneath the facade or through the exterior wall so water does not seep onto the entrance or stain the front.
