When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.

| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Harat Al Bahar holds small shops and stalls in old historic buildings with very tight streets and low ceilings, many unrenovated for decades, so space is squeezed and wiring is aged. HVAC here needs precise heat-load calculation whilst avoiding large holes in historic walls, and small split units or improved window units often suit better than heavy central plant, and any installation needs the owner's approval and full respect for the old structure.
Harat Al Bahar sits in Jeddah's historic old town, a district of small shops in narrow old buildings along very tight streets.
Most shops here use small split units or window AC, because floor space is tight, ceilings are low and walls carry historic value.
The AC setup in Harat Al Bahar
- 1
Small split unit with controlled copper runs
Small-capacity split units with slender copper piping carefully routed along old walls to minimise visual and structural impact.
- 2
Improved window AC fitted to original openings
Some older shops retain large windows suitable for modern window units, avoiding the need to cut new apertures.
- 3
Outdoor unit on tight balcony or ledge
Outdoor units mount on small balconies or narrow wall ledges, respecting the historic building's character.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
I'm in a very old shop in Harat Al Bahar, can you install HVAC without damaging the walls?
Yes, we mount split units with careful copper pipework and avoid unnecessary large holes in historic walls.
The streets are extremely tight and your van is large, how do you access the shop?
We send a small team carrying equipment by hand, and agree in advance on the nearest parking point and easiest route to reach the shop.
Coastal humidity and salt affect the unit, how do you maintain it?
We select units with rust-resistant treatment and recommend seasonal maintenance to clear salt and moisture from coils and external parts.
The building's wiring is very old, will that cause issues with installation?
We inspect electrical connections before installation and may recommend upgrading the dedicated circuit if needed to ensure safe operation.
