Split AC installation in Al Baghdadiyah Al Gharbiyah

In Al Baghdadiyah Al Gharbiyah, central Jeddah, split installation requires precise unit placement and insulated copper runs to prevent water leaking down walls and floors. Alrabih's team vacuums the line before start-up to ensure efficient, quiet cooling from day one.

  • Mueller copper
  • Full vacuum

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Al Baghdadiyah Al Gharbiyah mixes mid-rise residential blocks and modern villas across wider spaces than old downtown, with flats and serviced apartments spread across housing clusters. This variety in building types means split placement differs by the building's character and available space, as outdoor units may sit on open balconies or broad exterior walls. Copper runs and drains need careful planning to keep interior walls and floors free from moisture damage caused by coastal humidity and high heat.

Al Baghdadiyah Al Gharbiyah lies in central Jeddah, blending modern residential blocks and villas with wider, more organized streets.

Most flats and villas here have open outdoor spaces, allowing outdoor units to be mounted at various heights.

The AC setup in Al Baghdadiyah Al Gharbiyah

  1. 1

One split per flat or villa

Most modern flats and villas here choose one split per unit for independent control and maintenance.

  2. 2

Outdoor units on roofs and balconies

Villas typically accommodate the outdoor unit on the roof or rear balcony, while flats use front or side balconies.

  3. 3

    Extended copper runs between units

The distance between indoor and outdoor units may be longer in large villas and flats, so we use robust insulated piping and installation methods that preserve performance.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

Do modern villas here need different split installation than flats?

Yes, villas typically offer larger outdoor spaces and higher roofs, allowing better unit placement and longer copper runs without sharp bends that reduce performance.

Al Baghdadiyah's streets are wider, does that help installation?

Yes, wider streets let our team park close and trace the best route for copper and drain runs from the flat to the outdoor unit more easily.

Do coastal heat and humidity affect the new split's performance?

Yes, high heat and humidity put extra pressure on the system, so we place the outdoor unit carefully to avoid direct sun where possible and ensure proper airflow around it.

How do you prevent water leaks from the new split down walls and floors?

We install the drain line at the correct gradient toward the outlet, use high-quality insulated piping, and vacuum the copper to remove air before start-up to prevent moisture spots inside the system.
