Split AC installation in Al Hamdaniyah

In Al Hamdaniyah, east Jeddah, split installation calls for precision in copper runs and drainage because homes are spread out and distances between units are longer. Alrabih's team selects the optimal location and vacuums the line before first start-up.

  • Mueller copper
  • Full vacuum
  • Proper drain

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.

What sets this district apart

Al Hamdaniyah is a spacious residential district with spread-out detached homes and separate apartment buildings, enjoying good natural ventilation and high ceilings. This layout lets outdoor units be placed in various locations away from neighbours and obstacles, but the large indoor-to-outdoor distance needs longer copper runs and tight insulation to prevent heat loss and vibration noise.

Al Hamdaniyah sits in east Jeddah, a spacious residential district with spread-out homes and high ceilings.

Al Hamdaniyah installations typically need 8 to 15 metres of copper due to the distance between living spaces and high roofs.

The AC setup in Al Hamdaniyah

  1. 1

Single or multiple splits depending on home size

Spacious homes in Al Hamdaniyah typically take two or more units, each with its own outdoor unit on the roof or yard.

  2. 2

Long copper runs with tight insulation

Large distances require thick insulated copper to minimize heat loss and noise.

  3. 3

Outdoor unit on the high roof

Al Hamdaniyah's high roofs offer an ideal location for the outdoor unit, away from view and indoor noise.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Hamdaniyah

  1. 1

Measure the indoor-to-outdoor distance in advance

Give us an approximate measurement of the distance between your planned indoor unit location and the roof or yard where the outdoor unit will go.

  2. 2

Ensure safe power points are available

Check for a safe power point near the outdoor unit location on the roof, or approved electrical wiring that reaches it.

  3. 3

Clear the roof or yard space

Make sure the roof or yard area is clear of obstacles and furniture so the team can install the unit safely.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

My home is very large, will one split unit be enough or do I need more?

It depends on your home's size and number of rooms. One unit may not cool distant rooms effectively, so you might need two or more. We visit to assess your needs properly.

My roof is very high and the distance is very long, is there a maximum copper run length?

Yes, there is a maximum depending on the unit's capacity. We can typically run copper up to 15 metres with tight insulation and thick-gauge pipe. We assess each case individually.

Does humidity and dust in Al Hamdaniyah affect the split unit?

Yes, dust and humidity can speed up dirt buildup on the filter and coils. We use thick insulation to protect the pipes from moisture, and we recommend periodic filter cleaning.

How do you prevent noise from a distant outdoor unit?

We mount the outdoor unit on flexible brackets to absorb vibration, and we place it away from windows. Good pipe insulation also reduces noise transmission.
