Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Al Khumrah
Split AC installation in Al Khumrah, a southern district near the coast, needs special care because coastal humidity and salt speed metal oxidation and rust. We run thickly insulated copper pipes and slope drainage correctly to prevent water pooling.
- Mueller copper
- Full vacuum
- Proper drain

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

What the installation covers
- Site check and unit positions
- Insulated copper, sealed wall core
- Drain line with correct fall
- Vacuum and leak test
- Start-up test with you present
How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Al Khumrah is a modern southern district near the coast, with villas and flats on medium outdoor space directly exposed to humid winds and coastal salt. This climate means metals and copper oxidise faster than inland areas, with condensers and pipes prone to rust and corrosion. Drainage here needs extra care too, since high humidity can cause slow drainage or blockages. Choosing high-quality insulation and regular maintenance are essential to preserve the unit.
Al Khumrah is a modern southern district near Jeddah's coast, with residential buildings and villas exposed to humidity and sea salt.
Most outdoor units here mount on external walls directly exposed to sea breezes and humidity.
The AC setup in Al Khumrah
- 1
Split on exposed external walls with strong insulation
Outdoor units here face direct humidity and salt exposure, so we use thick insulation and extra protective coatings.
- 2
Drainage with corrosion-resistant insulation
Drainage runs through salt-resistant treated pipes at constant fall with fine filtering.
- 3
Indoor units shielded from coastal humidity
Indoor units also need extra insulation as humidity penetrates walls in buildings near the shore.
Before the visit

- 2
Ensure safe drainage away from low-lying or salty areas
Plan the drainage route away from low-lying areas where salty or rainwater might collect.
- 3
Assess available wall-mounting quality
Check external wall strength and condition, especially if salt-exposed, and tell us of any visible cracks or erosion.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
Being near the coast, does salt destroy the outdoor unit and copper pipes?
Yes, coastal salt causes fast oxidation in copper and aluminium. We use thick, high-quality insulation and protective coating for the unit, and recommend periodic washing of the outdoor unit to remove sea salt.
Humidity here is very high, does it affect efficiency and future maintenance?
High humidity increases condensation on the condenser, slightly reducing efficiency and raising mould risk. We fit an insulated drain pan and recommend regular cleaning of the condenser and filters.
Sea breezes are strong, are there risks to the outdoor unit?
Strong winds can loosen the unit if it is not firmly mounted. We use heavy metal brackets and very strong fixings, and choose a partially sheltered spot.
Salty water might corrode the drainage or pipes, how do you protect them?
We use corrosion-resistant drain piping (treated PVC) and route drainage to a safe area away from salty water, plus recommend periodic rinsing to prevent salt buildup.
