When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Ruhaili is a transitional zone mixing medium-rise residential blocks with commercial buildings and offices, with less regular planning than the newer northern districts. This diversity means some buildings may be slightly older and need cooling for varied space sizes, and outdoor units may require more thought in placement between tight facades or shared roofs.

Al Ruhaili sits in north-east Jeddah, a mixed zone of residential and commercial buildings with varied construction patterns.

Most commercial buildings here use medium-sized split units, and outdoor units are often mounted on shared roofs or narrow street-facing facades.

The AC setup in Al Ruhaili

  1. 1

Split units in medium-rise residential blocks

Residential blocks in Al Ruhaili typically use one or two split units per flat, with outdoor units on narrow facades or roofs.

  2. 2

Offices and clinics with medium split units

Commercial buildings here rely on medium-capacity splits to cool office and clinic spaces.

  3. 3

    Outdoor units on shared roofs

Many outdoor units are mounted on building roofs due to tight facades, requiring coordination with building management.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ruhaili

  1. 1

Coordinate with building or office management

If installing on a roof or shared building, notify management in advance for approval and to confirm no other work is scheduled.

  2. 2

Tell us about the interior space and floor

A description of the office or flat size, window count, and floor helps us select the right capacity and location.

  3. 3

Confirm access to the roof or upper levels

Check that the stairwell or lift allows the team's equipment to be carried up, and that the roof is safe to work on.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

I have an office in a commercial block, can you install a split unit on the shared roof?

Yes, but we need to coordinate with the building management first for approval and to check the roof structure is sound. We ensure drainage does not affect other units or cause leaks on lower floors.

The facade is very narrow and the street is busy, how do you bring the equipment?

We bring units and tools in the smallest practical form and agree with the building on the nearest safe parking point. Sometimes we use alternative routes through the courtyard if available.

Dust from ongoing construction nearby increases fast, does that affect installation and evacuation?

Yes, construction dust can enter the pipes during work. We cap the tube openings carefully and seal them at once, and evacuate the line at standard pressure at the end to ensure full cleanliness before start-up.

I need a split installed on the third floor, is the electrical wiring adequate?

We inspect the current electrical connection and test it before starting. If the supply is insufficient or the wiring is old, we recommend an electrical inspection first, and help identify suitable connection points.
