Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Al Wisami
In Al Wisami, north-east Jeddah, a new split installed carelessly will leak and cool poorly. Alrabih positions both units precisely, runs insulated copper and sloped drainage, vacuums the line before start-up, so it cools quietly from day one.
- Mueller copper
- Full vacuum
- Proper drain

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

What the installation covers
- Site check and unit positions
- Insulated copper, sealed wall core
- Drain line with correct fall
- Vacuum and leak test
- Start-up test with you present
How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Al Wisami is a relatively modern district of villas and apartment blocks spread across wider plots than the old quarters, with private homes having open facades and accessible roofs. This layout allows flexibility in placing the outdoor unit away from visual and noise concerns, but it often needs longer copper runs between the indoor unit in the living area and the outdoor unit on the roof or far wall.
Al Wisami lies in north-east Jeddah, a modern district of villas and residential blocks spaced across open areas.
Most villas and flats in Al Wisami take one or more split units, and the distance between the indoor and outdoor units often runs 10 to 15 metres or longer.
The AC setup in Al Wisami
- 1
One or more splits depending on the building size
Modern villas and blocks in Al Wisami may need one split for a small flat or several for a large villa or spacious apartment.
- 2
Outdoor unit on roof or far wall
The open layout here lets us place the outdoor unit on the roof or a distant wall away from windows and entrances to reduce noise and visual impact.
- 3
Long copper runs with heavy insulation
The large distances between units require longer copper and thick insulation to protect the drain and minimise cooling loss.
Before the visit

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
Is mounting the outdoor unit on the roof safe in this district's open spaces?
Yes, we secure the outdoor unit on a strong base with metal fixings that withstand wind, and choose a location away from direct air drafts from the streets and neighbouring properties.
The indoor unit goes in a distant room, how much copper tubing will I need?
The copper length depends on where both units sit, and is usually longer in villas and spacious blocks, so we determine it on site and include the insulation and drain length in the plan.
Does the heat and dust in Al Wisami affect the new split's efficiency?
Yes, high heat and dust reduce the outdoor unit's efficiency, so we choose a shaded location when possible and ensure good airflow around it to maintain strong performance.
How do you ensure the drain line from the indoor unit doesn't leak?
We install the drain line with a proper slope toward the outside, use tight-sealed connections, and test drainage before closing any walls or ceilings to confirm no leakage.
