Split AC installation in Al Ushairiyah

In Al Ushairiyah, north-east Jeddah, split AC installation requires understanding of mixed building types and less regular street layouts. Alrabih's team positions units carefully, runs insulated copper with attention to routing, vacuums the line before start-up for stable cooling.

  • Mueller copper
  • Full vacuum
  • Proper drain

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Al Ushairiyah is a mixed neighbourhood with mid-sized villas and blocks of varying heights, some with limited front gardens and less regular street layouts than other northern districts. Outdoor space in older or closely packed villas can be tight, demanding careful planning of the outdoor unit location and copper routing. Some villas and blocks may require coordination with neighbours or building management if units sit near shared walls.

Al Ushairiyah is in north-east Jeddah, a neighbourhood of mixed villas and blocks with less regular street layouts.

Most installations here need a medium to longer copper run (6 to 12 metres) because outdoor space is limited, and outdoor units may be mounted on side walls or the roof.

The AC setup in Al Ushairiyah

  1. 1

Split unit with relatively long copper run

Al Ushairiyah villas have limited outdoor space, so the outdoor unit is often placed far from the indoor one, requiring a long and strongly insulated copper run.

  2. 2

Split with outdoor unit on the roof

Some Al Ushairiyah villas and blocks lack ground-level space, so the outdoor unit is mounted on the roof with a long copper run that slopes down carefully to the inside.

  3. 3

    Multiple splits in mixed-type blocks

Al Ushairiyah blocks need individual splits per flat, with outdoor units distributed across façades and roof per building design.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ushairiyah

  1. 1

Clarify villa location, street and access path

Tell us the street and house number clearly, and which path or gate to prefer, as streets here are less regular.

  2. 2

    Discuss outdoor unit mounting options

If garden space is limited, discuss with us the possibility of roof or side-wall mounting before the visit.

  3. 3

Confirm safety of location, electrical supply and drainage

If the unit will go on the roof, confirm it is safe and strong, and specify the main board location and how drainage will run from the roof.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

Villas in Al Ushairiyah are older and close together, can you install a split?

Yes, we work in neighbourhoods of mixed ages. We choose the outdoor unit location carefully away from shared walls, and may mount it on the roof if there is not enough front space.

Al Ushairiyah's streets are not regular, how do you find access?

We ask you to clearly specify the villa's location and street, and confirm with you before arrival where the nearest parking is and the easiest access route.

Some villas in Al Ushairiyah have no back garden, where do you place the outdoor unit?

If there is no front or back space, we consider mounting it on the roof or on a distant side wall, and we will suggest the best option at the first visit.

The copper run might be long from inside to outside, does that affect performance?

Longer runs may slightly reduce cooling efficiency, but we insulate the copper strongly and ensure the line is air-free, and performance stays good if the unit suits the room size.
