Split AC installation in Al Waziriyah

In Al Waziriyah, south Jeddah, most homes are medium-sized flats in relatively modern apartment buildings. Split installation here calls for careful coordination with building management and precise copper and drain runs in limited space.

  • Mueller copper
  • Full vacuum
  • Proper drain

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Al Waziriyah mixes scattered villas with modern apartment blocks, so spaces vary. Flats in the buildings are fairly tight with small balconies, so the outdoor unit usually mounts on the balcony or external wall close to the flat. Runs must be hidden in walls or ducts to preserve the flat's appearance, and the drain must descend carefully without leaking onto the flat below.

Al Waziriyah lies in south Jeddah, a mixed district of scattered villas and mid-rise apartment buildings.

Most flats here have small balconies or external walls for the outdoor unit, but space is extremely tight.

The AC setup in Al Waziriyah

  1. 1

Single split unit in small flat

Most small flats here need just one split unit, with the indoor unit on the wall and outdoor on the balcony.

  2. 2

Outdoor unit on balcony or external wall

Small balconies and external walls are virtually the only options in dense apartment blocks.

  3. 3

Hidden copper and safe sloped drain

Copper and wires are hidden in ducts or walls, and the drain slopes safely away from neighbouring flats.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

My flat is small and the balcony is very tight, where will the outdoor unit go?

We can mount it on the balcony or the building's external wall if building rules allow. We visit first to find the best option.

The building management has specific rules about installation, how do you handle that?

We ask you to get building management approval beforehand. We work with them to ensure we meet all building regulations.

The flat below might be affected by my AC drain, how do you prevent that?

We install the drain line carefully to fall away from the building walls or into a separate outlet. We test the slope before finishing.

Can the copper and wires be hidden inside the walls?

Yes, if the flat's design and rules allow. We install ducts or run pipes inside walls where possible to preserve appearance.
