When duct quality makes the difference
- 1
Duct losing cold air
An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.
- 2
Condensation wetting the ceiling
In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.
- 3
A project with many duct runs
A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.
Who it's for
Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork
We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send sizes or drawings
Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.
- 2
Review sizes and sheet gauge
We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.
- 3
Fabricate, seal and insulate
We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.
- 4
Number and deliver
We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.
Workshop-made or site-cut duct?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Sealing | Foster on every seam in workshop | Uneven site sealing |
| Insulation | Kimmco or Armaflex fully wrapped | Partial or delayed wrap |
| Sheet gauge | Chosen for each duct size | One gauge for everything |
| Assembly time | Numbered, assembled straight away | Cut and adjust on site |
| Joint fit | Workshop dimensions close every joint | Hand trimming breaks the seal |

What sets this district apart
Al Waziriyah is a medium-growth residential area with mid-size apartment blocks and duplex villas, many choosing central AC to serve multiple units from one source. Site-cut ducts lose cold air through gaps and cracks, worsened by Jeddah's humidity and dust in the passages, but fully sealed workshop ducts maintain pressure efficiency and insulation from day one.
Al Waziriyah sits in south Jeddah, an area of mid-rise apartments and duplex villas laid out on regular streets.
Most new residential projects in Al Waziriyah rely on unified duct networks serving multiple units from a single central AC plant.
The AC setup in Al Waziriyah
- 1
Main plenum distributing to separate branches
Expanded residential projects in Al Waziriyah typically need a robust central plenum distributing cold air to several branches for each dwelling unit.
- 2
Return ducts with separate control dampers
Each dwelling may need a separate damper on its return duct to regulate airflow according to occupants' needs.
- 3
Sealed, numbered sections ready to hang
Ducts arrive sealed, numbered and insulated, so installation follows the plan and numbers directly without extra cutting.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Waziriyah
- 1
Provide the complete engineering layout
Send us the project layout showing the number of units, duct routes, ceilings and chases before the visit.
- 2
Coordinate with the contractor about visit timing
Tell the contractor about our visit timing for duct measurement, as the current construction phase affects access and measurement capability.
- 3
Confirm suspended ceiling readiness
Suspended ceilings and chases holding the ducts must be ready or have known dimensions and heights to ensure measurement accuracy.

FAQ
Questions about AC duct manufacturing
How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?
We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.
Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?
Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.
Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?
Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.
Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?
Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.
Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?
The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.
Do manufactured ducts lower electricity bills?
Yes. Fully sealed ducts do not leak cold air, so the AC works at normal load, and energy use drops compared to site-cut ducts.
The project serves several duplex villas, how do you make unified ducts for them?
We measure each villa or unit separately and design separate branches for each connecting to the main unified plenum, so each unit gets its own routes.
Al Waziriyah streets are regular but buildings are under construction, how do you ensure timely delivery?
We work to an agreed project schedule and coordinate with the contractor to confirm site and ceiling readiness before starting manufacture, avoiding delays.
Jeddah's humidity is high, does it affect duct durability over time?
Full insulation and tight Foster sealing protect the metal from rust and corrosion, and manufactured ducts maintain their efficiency as long as they are not cut or damaged after installation.
