Split AC installation in Breiman

In Breiman, east Jeddah, installing a split AC requires careful placement of insulated copper and proper drainage to avoid leaks and noise. Alrabih's team positions both units precisely and vacuums the line before start-up.

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Breiman is a relatively modern residential district of detached homes and mid-rise apartment blocks, most with spacious outdoor areas and open roofs that easily fit an outdoor unit. This space gives freedom in placement away from noise and obstacles, but in larger buildings the indoor-to-outdoor distance can be longer, requiring extended copper runs and extra care with insulation and drainage.

Breiman lies in east Jeddah, a residential district of modern homes and buildings with generous outdoor space.

Most installations in Breiman require 5 to 10 metres of copper because of the distance between the living space and the roof or yard.

The AC setup in Breiman

  1. 1

Single split unit per home or flat

Most individual homes in Breiman take one or two split units, with the outdoor unit on the roof or yard.

  2. 2

Extended copper run for distant placements

When the indoor-to-outdoor distance is large, we use insulated copper up to 15 metres with a separate drain line.

  3. 3

Outdoor unit on the open roof or yard

Breiman's roofs and yards offer good airflow, so placing the outdoor unit there delivers excellent performance with minimal indoor noise.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Breiman

  1. 1

Choose the outdoor unit location in advance

Decide with the team before the visit whether you prefer the outdoor unit on the roof, exterior wall, or yard.

  2. 2

Confirm electricity supply near the chosen location

Check that there is a power point near the outdoor unit location, or at least safe electrical wiring that can reach it.

  3. 3

Ensure safe access to the roof or yard

Check that the roof or yard is safe to work on and that the team can access it easily on installation day.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

My home has multiple floors, do I need one outdoor unit or more?

It depends on how many indoor units you want. Each indoor unit needs its own outdoor unit, or several indoor units can share one outdoor unit if capacity allows. We assess the details during the visit.

My yard is small and the roof is high, where should the outdoor unit go?

The outdoor unit can be mounted on the roof, the exterior wall, or a balcony, depending on available space and airflow. We choose the best location during the visit to ensure good ventilation and minimize noise.

The distance is long between my living space and the roof, does this affect performance?

A longer distance requires more copper and thicker insulation to reduce heat loss. Careful vacuuming of the line ensures peak performance even over extended runs.

How do I know the drain line won't leak down the wall?

We install the drain pipe with the right slope towards the yard or drainage point, away from walls. The pipe is insulated and secured firmly to prevent leaks and mould.
