When your window unit needs attention
- 1
Weak cooling even on full power
The room stays warm even with the unit running at full. Most often the coil or filter is blocked with the dust and salt Jeddah's air carries; cleaning them brings the cooling back without any parts.
- 2
Water leaking into the room
Dripping inside the room does not always mean a mechanical fault. The unit needs a slight tilt toward the outside so condensate runs away. We check the tilt, the drain tray and the drain holes before anything else.
- 3
Loud noise or a fan that will not spin
Grinding or heavy vibration usually points to a fan with broken blades, a worn shaft or a foreign object inside the unit. A fan that does not start while the compressor hums is often a failed run capacitor.
Who it's for
Your flat's window unit drips onto the floor
We check the unit tilt, drain tray and drain holes on site and correct the real cause so the dripping does not return.
Ask on WhatsAppYour shop's window unit runs but does not cool
We diagnose the coil, filter, capacitor and thermostat at your shop and carry out the repair needed to restore cooling with the least disruption to your business.

- Chassis rust report provided
How we work
How we work
- 1
Describe the fault
WhatsApp us what is happening: noise, drip or weak cooling. A photo of the front of the unit helps us know the model before the visit.
- 2
On-site diagnosis
The technician checks the filter, coil, fan, capacitor and thermostat in order, then tells you the real cause and what the repair needs before he starts.
- 3
Repair or replace call
If the repair is practical we complete it in the same visit. If the unit is old, the chassis is deeply rusted or the compressor fault is complex, we say so plainly and explain your options.
- 4
Run test and handover
After the repair we run the unit, check the cooling, confirm the drain flows and watch the current settle, then leave the room clean.
Real diagnosis or a quick guess?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| First step | Systematic check of each part | Replace the easiest part |
| Rust | Honest chassis assessment | Ignored until it worsens |
| Dripping | Tilt and tray checked first | Refrigerant added without diagnosis |
| Replace decision | Based on actual condition | May be rushed or delayed |
| Refrigerant type | Read from the unit nameplate | Wrong type may be added |

What sets this district apart
Al Asla'a is a mixed residential and commercial zone with mid-size and small flats plus retail shops, most relying on window units. The nearby coastal location brings constant humidity and high salt content, while surrounding roads generate dust clogging the coil and drain. Quick, effective repair keeps shops and flats running without long outages.
Al Asla'a is an east-side mixed residential and commercial zone near the coast, with older and mid-age window units.
Most units are small-capacity (0.75 to 1.5 tons), mounted in room and shop windows, with drainage running straight outside without extended piping.
The AC setup in Al Asla'a
- 1
Small window units in narrow windows
Most windows here are narrow, so units are small-capacity (0.75 to 1 ton), fitted snugly in the original frame.
- 2
Direct drainage without added piping
Water drains directly outside or to passages, and any blockage quickly causes indoor pooling.
- 3
Units exposed to coastal salt and humidity
Proximity to the sea means faster corrosion of the condenser and metal frames, requiring regular cleaning and care.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Asla'a
- 1
Window measurements, floor level and exact location
Give us the exact window measurements (width and depth), floor level and nearby landmarks so we reach easily and coordinate with neighbours if needed.
- 2
Ensure safe access and a clear facade
Check that the passage in front is safe and clear, and the facade has no items blocking access to the unit.
- 3
Turn off power before the appointment
Cut power to the window unit before the appointment time to ensure team safety during inspection and repair.

FAQ
Questions about Window AC repair
Can a window unit be repaired in the same visit?
Many faults, a clogged filter, a dirty coil, a failed run capacitor and a wrong tilt, are fixed in a single visit. If the unit needs a part the technician does not carry, we arrange a second visit once it is sourced.
How does Jeddah's salty air affect a window unit?
The damp salty air from the sea speeds up corrosion on the metal chassis, fan blades and coil fins. Units on sea-facing walls or higher floors corrode faster. We check how deep the rust goes and tell you honestly whether the unit is worth repairing or whether the chassis has reached the point where replacement saves more.
The unit runs but the compressor will not start. What causes that?
The most common cause is a failed run capacitor that can no longer give the compressor or fan the starting push it needs. The relay is the second likely cause. The technician tests both with instruments and confirms which is at fault before replacing anything.
Why does my window unit drip water into the room?
A window unit drains condensate out of the back, so if it tilts inwards or the drain holes in its base block, the water comes back into the room. We reset the tilt slightly outwards, clean the pan and drain holes, and check the frame is sealed so no water runs down the sides.
Can a faulty thermostat cause the compressor to cycle on and off rapidly?
Yes. A faulty thermostat can send wrong signals that make the compressor cut in and out abnormally, straining the circuit and reducing cooling. The technician tests the thermostat with instruments and separates it from other causes such as the relay or a supply voltage issue before any part is replaced.
My unit drips a lot and the drain seems blocked?
Yes, dust and salt in this area clog the drain quickly. We clear it and check the unit's slope for good drainage, recommending monthly cleaning.
Near the sea and the condenser is visibly rusty, is this serious?
Corrosion from airborne salt is normal here, but if it advances, it affects performance. We clean the condenser and assess the damage, possibly recommending protective coating to prevent further corrosion.
The window is very small, do you need special equipment to access it?
Yes, small windows here need extra care and smaller tools. Tell us the measurements and location beforehand so we prepare the right equipment.
Power is weak and the unit shuts itself off during running?
Low voltage or an overloaded circuit may cause the unit to cut out. We check the voltage and electrical capacity on-site and tell you what is wrong.
