When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Falah is a densely built area with closely spaced residential and commercial blocks, most 4 to 8 storeys, needing central AC systems with vertical and horizontal ducts fitted tightly in false ceilings and narrow corridors. On-site duct cutting at height in dense construction leaves gaps bleeding air and coastal moisture, so we manufacture them sealed and fully insulated before delivery.

Al Falah sits in east Jeddah, a densely built district of closely spaced residential and commercial blocks.

Most residential and commercial towers here are mid-rise and use central AC units with vertical and horizontal ducts.

The AC setup in Al Falah

  1. 1

One central system per mid-rise tower

Each 4 to 8-storey residential tower in Al Falah needs one central AC unit with vertical and horizontal ducts distributed across floors.

  2. 2

Vertical ducts in tight structural columns

The main vertical duct runs inside a structural column from roof to ground floor, constrained by the tight column dimensions in dense construction.

  3. 3

Horizontal ducts hidden in tight false ceilings

Horizontal ducts distribute air in tight false ceilings of corridors and flats, constrained by the low ceiling height.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Falah

  1. 1

Coordinate with building management and contractor

Inform building management and the contractor that we will visit for measurement, and confirm we can access the roof and sample floors.

  2. 2

Share architectural plans and tight dimensions

Send the tower's architectural plans with structural column and false ceiling dimensions, so we manufacture ducts to fit architectural constraints precisely.

  3. 3

Specify outdoor unit location on the roof

Specify the outdoor unit location on the tower roof and any space or weight constraints in the dense construction environment.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Al Falah buildings are dense and close, does a central system work for all blocks?

Yes, one central system distributes air to all flats in a tower via vertical and horizontal ducts. Each tower needs a separate system based on flat count.

Ducts in tight false ceilings, how do you fit the main vertical duct?

The main vertical duct runs inside a structural column, and horizontal ducts sit in the false ceiling. We manufacture this all in the workshop to dimensions matching the site's architectural constraints.

Sea humidity is close to Al Falah, does it affect the ducts?

Yes, proximity to the sea means high humidity. So we fully insulate all ducts and seal every joint with Foster sealant to prevent humid air entering the cold air stream.

Do we need to coordinate with building management before measurement?

Yes, best to inform building management and the contractor that we will visit for measurement. Al Falah is densely built, so we may need access to multiple locations.
