When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Ma'rifah is a modern-build area with mid-range residential towers and luxury villas, most projects using central AC distributed across multiple floors. Hand-cut ducts on site leave gaps that bleed cold air, especially in large systems covering multiple floors and wings. Workshop manufacturing ensures tight seals at every joint and cuts pressure and cold-air loss across the whole system.

Al Ma'rifah is in north Jeddah, a contemporary-build area of modern towers and villas requiring complex central AC systems.

Most blocks and villas here use central AC units with main ducts and branches covering multiple floors.

The AC setup in Al Ma'rifah

  1. 1

Main ducts from the central unit

Large Al Ma'rifah projects need thick main ducts from the unit branching across multiple levels.

  2. 2

Branches with dampers for airflow control

Large blocks and villas need separate branches with manual or automatic dampers to balance pressure between wings.

  3. 3

    Insulated and sealed return ducts

Return ducts need the same sealing and insulation quality to avoid absorbing heat from the surrounding space.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ma'rifah

  1. 1

Ensure complete architectural drawings are available

Send us drawings with exact floor and wing dimensions, the central unit location and every duct outlet point.

  2. 2

Define the main and branch duct routes

Discuss with us the duct route from the unit through the structure to the last branch, as this determines section diameters and insulation.

  3. 3

Coordinate with structural and mechanical teams

Ensure the contractor and engineer know when ducts arrive and where they connect in the structure for smooth installation.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Do made-to-order ducts need pressure calculations for each project?

Yes, we calculate air velocity and pressure based on the central unit's size and duct length, to ensure even distribution to every room.

Do large projects need ducts in separate sections?

Yes, we make ducts in numbered sections to match your design, and assembly on site is straightforward thanks to tight seals between sections.

Does thermal insulation protect against condensation in high humidity?

Yes, thick insulation keeps the duct surface above the dew point, and tight seals prevent moist air entering from outside.

If we add rooms later, can the ducts be extended?

Yes, we advise designing the system with flexibility from the start, and we can make additional branches connectable to future needs.
