When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Najmah blends mid-sized villas with multi-unit apartment blocks, many of them expanding or upgrading. Local contractors favour central AC for cost and efficiency, but on-site knife-cut ducts leave gaps that bleed cold and become mould sources in Jeddah's humidity. Shop-made sealed ducts mean faster hanging, better performance, and even cooling across every unit.

Al Najmah sits in north Jeddah, a district of mid-sized villas and apartment towers with ongoing development.

Most new and existing projects in Al Najmah choose central AC, with ducts routed through false ceilings and fans in mechanical rooms.

The AC setup in Al Najmah

  1. 1

Central duct network for apartment towers

Apartment towers in Al Najmah use unified or per-unit central duct networks, and shop-made ducts ensure consistent performance.

  2. 2

Villa ducts with multiple ceiling levels

Al Najmah villas often have multiple floors and false ceilings, requiring custom-made ducts that fit varying heights.

  3. 3

    Insulated ducts against coastal humidity

Full insulation and precise sealing are essential in this humid area to prevent condensation and mould inside the ducts.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Najmah

  1. 1

Collect architectural plans and utilities layout

Gather the architect's plans, electrical water and gas layouts, and floor-by-floor dimensions before we visit.

  2. 2

Pinpoint the mechanical room and main unit

Confirm the mechanical room and central unit location and accessibility, and mention any structural obstacles we should know about.

  3. 3

Align manufacturing timing with the project schedule

Focus on when false-ceiling and painting work starts, so we manufacture ducts at the right moment before the ceiling closes.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Our older building in Al Najmah wants new central AC, do you make ducts for multi-unit buildings?

Yes, we manufacture complete duct networks for apartment buildings, with separate ducts per unit or shared runs depending on design. We take precise measurements from the plans and deliver numbered sections ready to hang.

Our villa and building are close to the main road, does dust affect the ducts?

Tightly sealed shop-made ducts reduce dust ingress, and full insulation keeps the interior clean. We use Foster sealant on every seam to stop any air leakage.

Humidity and salt spray near the coast damage ducts, how do you protect them?

Fully insulated and tightly sealed ducts protect against condensation and humidity. We use materials rated for humid coastal environments and seal every seam before delivery.

The contractor wants quick ready-made ducts, how long does manufacturing and delivery take?

Once we receive the plans and measurements, we manufacture the ducts and deliver them numbered and ready. Timing depends on project size and complexity; send us the drawings for an exact schedule.
