When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Sarawat is a relatively new district with spacious villas on large plots, and most new residential projects there are designed for central air ducting rather than split units. This means ducts run long distances from the outdoor unit through ceilings and walls, and any poor on-site cuts or leaks mean cold-air loss, higher electricity bills and moisture buildup. Manufacturing ducts in the workshop beforehand, instead of random on-site cuts, ensures tight performance from the start.

Al Sarawat lies in southern Jeddah and is characterised by spacious modern villas on large plots with architectural designs suited to central air conditioning.

Most villa and residential projects in Al Sarawat use large packaged or chiller units to cover wide areas, requiring long, sealed ducts to distribute the air efficiently.

The AC setup in Al Sarawat

  1. 1

Long central duct runs for large villas

Al Sarawat villas need supply and return ducts extending from the plant room to all spaces, and pre-manufacturing saves time and ensures precision.

  2. 2

Custom plenums for large plot layouts

Large residential projects in Al Sarawat use plenums to split airflow into multiple branches, and manufacturing them to exact dimensions ensures higher efficiency.

  3. 3

Full insulation against coastal humidity and heat

Jeddah's coastal humidity and high heat make full insulation essential for every duct, to prevent cold loss and condensation on surfaces.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Sarawat

  1. 1

Send us the villa's floor plan and dimensions

Before the visit, send photos of the architectural plan and key space dimensions to speed up measurement and manufacturing.

  2. 2

Ensure attics and passages are accessible

Open all attics and passages that the ducts will run through beforehand, and check that no obstacles block safe installation.

  3. 3

Confirm outdoor unit and plant room locations

Tell us exactly where the outdoor unit and plant room will be, as this determines the main duct lengths and routing.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Our villas are large, how many duct runs do we need?

It depends on the villa's size, number of rooms, and zones to be cooled. We visit the site and measure the exact lengths and diameters before manufacturing, then quote based on those measurements.

My ducts are losing cold air, is it because of poor on-site cutting?

Yes, knife-cutting on site leaves gaps and rough edges where cold air escapes and moisture condenses. Manufacturing ducts in the workshop with precise measurement and sealed seams prevents this loss.

Jeddah's humidity is high, does it affect the ducts?

Yes, Jeddah's humidity makes insulation essential. We fully insulate all ducts to prevent condensation on cold surfaces and protect the surrounding area.

Our villas have attics and storage spaces, how do you access those for duct runs?

Coordinate with us in advance about safe access times to attics and storage spaces, and ensure our team can enter and install the ducts without hazard.
