When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Al Wafa is a rapidly expanding district with relatively modern villas, apartment blocks and hotel complexes, many relying on central AC systems that need extensive duct runs. Ducts cut on site with a knife leave gaps where cold air bleeds away and moisture condenses on surfaces in Jeddah's humid heat, whereas workshop-made ducts built to exact dimensions and fully sealed and insulated maintain performance and cut waste.

Al Wafa lies in Jeddah's eastern sector, a modern development area marked by medium to large-scale residential and hotel buildings.

Most new buildings in Al Wafa use central AC instead of split units, raising demand for precisely manufactured and fully insulated ductwork.

The AC setup in Al Wafa

  1. 1

    Central supply and return ductwork

Most apartment blocks and hotels in Al Wafa require extended duct networks to distribute cold air from the central unit to floors and suites.

  2. 2

    Plenums and manifolds

Hotels and large complexes need custom plenums to split airflow evenly across multiple duct branches.

  3. 3

Fully insulated ducts to prevent air leakage

Al Wafa's intense heat and humidity make full duct insulation essential to maintain temperature and cut energy consumption.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Wafa

  1. 1

    Prepare project drawings and dimensions

Send us the project drawings and exact dimensions of the spaces and floors before we visit, so we can make the ducts with full precision.

  2. 2

Confirm central unit location and outlets

Make clear where the central unit sits and where the cold air outlets go on each floor and suite before we visit.

  3. 3

Assign a site coordinator from the contractor and engineer

Coordinate with the engineer and contractor on site to name a point person for approving dimensions and the delivery schedule for the ductwork.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Are workshop-made ducts better than cutting them on site?

Yes, workshop-made ducts are cut to exact dimensions, every seam sealed with Foster sealant and fully insulated, so there is no cold air loss and no moisture condensing on joints, unlike hand-cutting which leaves gaps and unprotected surfaces.

How do you deliver ducts for a large project in Al Wafa?

We make the ducts and plenums numbered according to your project drawings, and deliver them in sections that can be carried and hung on site without re-cutting or any air loss.

Jeddah's humidity is intense, do insulated ducts stop condensation?

Full insulation of the ducts greatly reduces moisture condensing on the outer surface, but proper drainage from the collection pan and adequate ventilation control ensure humidity does not build up inside the airflow system.

Do you install the ducts on site after delivery?

We deliver the ducts numbered and ready to hang, and our team can handle installation and joining if your project requires it under a separate agreement.
