When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Harat Al Yemen is a historic downtown area with shops and storage on ground floors, flats above, and buildings packed tightly with narrow footprints and relatively low ceilings compared to northern districts. This building type leaves minimal space for central ducts, and on-site cutting leaves gaps bleeding cold air in tight passages, with dust and moisture building faster from poor natural ventilation. Our workshop manufacturing to precise dimensions fitting low ceilings and narrow passages, with Foster seal on every seam and full insulation, saves energy and extends system life.

Harat Al Yemen lies in Jeddah's historic downtown core, an older closely built district around popular markets.

Most buildings here are old and space-tight, central ducts are rare, and most shops and flats rely on separate split units instead.

The AC setup in Harat Al Yemen

  1. 1

Thin, flat ducts for low ceilings

Old building ceilings are very low, so we make thin, flat ducts maintaining efficiency despite their small size.

  2. 2

Small separate sections per shop or flat

Shops and flats are packed tight, so we make small separate duct sections for each shop or residential unit.

  3. 3

Sealed insulated ducts despite tight fit

Despite small tight ducts, we Foster-seal every seam and fully insulate to protect from condensation and loss.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Harat Al Yemen

  1. 1

Check ceiling height and available space

Before our survey, check shop or flat ceiling height and space available between ceilings and other runs.

  2. 2

Coordinate visit time with shop or flat owner

Downtown shops run busy all day, so agree our survey time with the owner to avoid clashing with business hours.

  3. 3

Tell us about other runs in ceilings and walls

Old ceilings may hold wiring, pipes and other runs, tell us where so we avoid them when designing the duct.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Downtown blocks are old with low ceilings, can you make ducts to fit tight spaces?

Yes, we make flat, narrow ducts fitting low ceilings and tight passages, Foster-sealed and fully insulated despite their small size.

Old downtown ceilings are very tight, can you run ducts through them?

Yes, we make very thin ducts fitting tight ceiling spaces, their small sections pass easily through low ceilings and narrow passages.

Old downtown humidity is high and low ceilings limit ventilation, does that increase condensation?

Yes, coastal humidity and low ceilings increase condensation in ducts, so we use full insulation and strong sealing to minimise it.

Shops and flats are tightly packed, can you make separate ducts per shop or flat?

Yes, we make small separate ducts per shop or flat, Foster-sealed and insulated to fit very tight spaces.
