When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Kinanah is a rapidly growing district with modern housing projects, large commercial complexes and service centres. Buildings here are relatively new and large-scale, needing unified central ducts with dimensions known precisely from the start. Any gaps or weak sealing cause cold-air leakage and raise condensation on internal surfaces in east Jeddah's heat. Workshop manufacturing ensures clean, numbered sections that install error-free without on-site remeasuring.

Kinanah sits in east Jeddah, a district of rapid residential and commercial growth with large-scale modern projects.

Most new projects here use central ducts with large diameters fed by air-handling units in dedicated plant rooms with smart controls.

The AC setup in Kinanah

  1. 1

    Large-diameter main supply ducts

Kinanah's large projects need main ducts with large diameters to distribute adequate cold air across the building's wide zones.

  2. 2

Sections distributed by floor and wing

Branch sections are distributed by floor and wing, simplifying flow and pressure management in each zone.

  3. 3

Multi-layer insulated boxes with acoustic lining

Every duct arrives multi-layer insulated with acoustic lining, reducing noise and protecting from condensation in humid zones.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Kinanah

  1. 1

Obtain a complete set of engineering drawings

Ensure comprehensive HVAC drawings are available showing all duct diameters, lengths, angles and connection points before manufacturing starts.

  2. 2

Coordinate phased delivery schedule with the supervisor

Agree a phased delivery schedule matching build progress, so sections arrive in time for each stage.

  3. 3

Verify organised and safe storage space

Check that the site provides organised, safe storage for numbered sections, protected from moisture and damage before installation.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Kinanah has massive projects; do you handle large, complex designs?

Yes, we work from full engineering drawings and divide ducts into numbered sections of uniform length, ensuring precise assembly on-site without remeasuring.

How do you supply multiple projects at once without delays?

We have high production capacity in the workshop and coordinate delivery schedules with project supervisors in advance to avoid bottlenecks.

East Jeddah is hot and dry inland, but coastal areas are humid; is insulation adequate?

Yes, we insulate all ducts to full thickness and seal every joint with professional Foster, preventing moisture ingress and condensation on outer surfaces.

Space is tight and the project is complex; how do you ensure efficient delivery and installation?

We agree with the project supervisor on a phased delivery plan respecting storage of numbered sections in order, so they are pulled and installed smoothly as the build progresses.
