When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Shurooq is a modern district with spacious layouts and upscale architecture, featuring large gardens and long distances within single buildings. This calls for extended, high-precision ducting, and on-site cutting robs the system of efficiency and causes leaks that waste cool in Jeddah's intense heat and coastal humidity. Workshop-made, tightly sealed and insulated ducts maintain ideal air pressure and temperature in every room.

Al Shurooq sits in east Jeddah, a district of upscale modern villas and blocks with spacious open designs and contemporary architecture.

Most projects here run one or more central cooling units with complex duct networks covering large areas and multiple routes.

The AC setup in Al Shurooq

  1. 1

Branching duct network from one or two central units

Upscale villas here need one or more central units with a branching duct network distributing cool evenly to all rooms and wings.

  2. 2

Ducts insulated against intense sun and high humidity

Ducts run through ceilings exposed to direct sun and intense heat, so thick insulation keeps cool air steady and stops condensation.

  3. 3

    Precision-sealed joints throughout with Foster

Every joint and opening in the network is sealed with Foster to high precision, stopping any air leakage, essential in large complex systems.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Shurooq

  1. 1

Provide detailed architectural plans for the villa

Send complete architectural plans for each floor, garden and all wings so we can calculate duct routes and lengths precisely.

  2. 2

Identify central unit locations and storage space

Tell us where the main indoor unit or multiple units will go, and any storage or mechanical space available for the network to start.

  3. 3

Ensure installation team can access ceilings and routes

Check that ceilings, passages and walls for the ducts are accessible without obstacles for the installation crew.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Villas here are huge with separate wings, how do you cover everything with one duct system?

We design branching duct networks from one or more central units, with flow regulators on each branch to distribute cool evenly across all villa wings.

The garden is far from the house, can ducts reach that distance?

Yes, we make very long ducts and fully insulate them to prevent cool loss over distance in full sun and heat.

Do extended ducts trap condensation in high coastal humidity?

Condensation forms without good insulation. We wrap ducts in thick layers and seal every gap, keeping outer surfaces above the dew point so no moisture collects inside.

Do we need one large central unit or two smaller ones for our electrical supply?

It depends on villa size and your electrical panel's available capacity. We inspect the site and consult with the electrician to choose the right configuration, which affects duct design.
