Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.

What sets this district apart

Harat Al Sham in the old quarter holds narrow heritage buildings, boutique hotels, shops and stores on non-uniform floors, with very tight spaces between walls. Workshop-fabricated duct cut precisely avoids field errors because on-site cutting and joining are difficult and may damage the old structure. Central runs here are rare, but when they exist they need exact measurement and small transitions fitting low ceilings and tight passages.

Harat Al Sham in historic Jeddah's old quarter holds narrow heritage buildings with shops, stores and boutique hotels.

Most central runs here sit in low ceilings and very tight passages, needing precise branches and small transitions with no field errors.

The AC setup in Harat Al Sham

  1. 1

Small rectangular duct for low ceilings

Old buildings in the quarter have low ceilings and tight passages, so we fabricate small-section rectangular duct that fits easily without touching walls or ceilings.

  2. 2

    Precise round branches per room

Pre-fabricated precision round branches distribute air effectively to each room or shop without field adjustments, saving precious space.

  3. 3

    Aluminium duct for damp conditions

The old quarter is very damp, so aluminium is better than galvanised sheet for long-term corrosion protection and lasting distribution integrity.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Harat Al Sham

  1. 1

Measure passages and ceilings with extreme precision

Send us extremely precise measurements of tight passages, low ceilings and corners, as even a small error in centimetres might prevent the duct from fitting.

  2. 2

Tell us where old wires and pipes are located

Old buildings often have haphazardly routed wires and pipes; tell us where they are so we can safely coordinate the duct route.

  3. 3

Confirm access to distribution and return points

Check that air inlet, outlet and ceiling/wall opening points are identified and accessible without damaging the old structure.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

In Harat Al Sham, buildings are old and very narrow, can you install central AC?

Yes, but the run needs very precise measurement of tight passages and low ceilings. We fabricate the duct exactly to site measures, so it fits without recutting or modification that might damage the old structure.

Boutique hotels and shops here have very limited space, how do you distribute air effectively?

We use small precision round branches fabricated in advance for each room or shop, so they take up minimal space and distribute air evenly throughout.

The old quarter is very humid and buildings are tight with poor airflow, does the duct suffer?

High humidity slowly corrodes galvanised sheet, but G90 galvanised is resistant. For extra protection, aluminium can be used, which is lighter and less vulnerable to corrosion in damp conditions.

Old-building wiring is weak and irregular, does it affect the duct?

The duct itself is not affected by weak wiring. But checking the safety of the fan unit and compressor power before installation is vital to ensure safe operation.
