When your commercial fridge needs attention

  1. 1

    Temperature creeping up slowly

The fridge runs but no longer reaches its old temperature. In Jeddah's hot kitchens, grease builds on the condenser quickly, robbing it of the ability to shed heat and straining the compressor. We check the blockage on site and decide what is needed.

  2. 2

    Condenser fan stopped or slowed

The condenser fan draws air across the condensing coil. When it stops or slows, heat rises fast and the compressor cuts out on its thermal protector. We test the motor and the run capacitor and replace what has failed as part of the repair.

  3. 3

    Door gasket not sealing properly

A cracked or burned gasket lets warm, humid kitchen air in constantly. The result is a compressor that never rests, condensation forming inside the cabinet and an unstable temperature. We measure the existing gasket and replace it with the right size for that door.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Describe the fault

WhatsApp us the make, model and the fault you see, plus your district, so the technician arrives with the right tools and likely parts.

  2. 2

    On-site diagnosis

We check the condenser, fan, gaskets and refrigerant pressure on site and identify the real cause before starting any repair.

  3. 3

    Repair and clean

We clean the condenser of grease and dust, replace the faulty part and top up refrigerant if needed, all while keeping disruption to your work as short as possible.

  4. 4

    Temperature check and handover

After the repair we let the fridge run and measure the cabinet temperature until it reaches the correct range, then hand the unit back to you.

What sets this district apart

Al Wurud is a vibrant zone of closely packed bakeries, pastry shops and cafes, each running multiple fridges to hold fillings, creams and pastries. High humidity and intense façade heat spike the load on condensers, and oven and cooking grease deposits build fast on cooling coils. Regular maintenance stops sudden failure that could spoil a whole morning's pastry stock during peak hours.

Al Wurud sits in the heart of central Jeddah, a commercial zone specialising in bakeries, pastry shops and cafes.

Most bakery and pastry shops here run several small display fridges and tall storage units with deep shelves.

The AC setup in Al Wurud

  1. 1

    Pastry and cream display fridges

Bakeries use glass display fridges to showcase pastries and fillings, needing stable cooling throughout long working hours.

  2. 2

Deep storage fridges for creams and ingredients

Bakeries rely on separate deep storage units for holding creams, butter and sensitive ingredients requiring precise temperature.

  3. 3

    Sun-facing condensers on shop facades

Outdoor units are mounted on sun-facing facades, increasing the cooling load because the ambient heat is relentless.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Wurud

  1. 1

Schedule away from baking and prep time

Bakeries start very early; agree with us a time away from morning prep, dough-making and baking hours.

  2. 2

Clear space around the fridge for access

The shop may be packed with shelves and kit; clear the space around the fridge so we can check the outdoor unit and drain lines.

  3. 3

Confirm the outdoor unit location and roof access

The outdoor unit usually sits on the roof or facade; confirm access is safe and does not need moving any obstacles.

FAQ

Questions about Commercial fridge service

My kitchen fridge runs all the time but does not cool enough. What is wrong?

In most cases the condenser is blocked with grease and dust, which is common in Jeddah kitchens where steam and smoke build up fast. A worn door gasket letting warm kitchen air in constantly is another likely cause. We check both on site and tell you which is the problem, or whether both need attention.

Do you service prep counters and under-counter fridges as well?

Yes, our service covers upright fridges, prep counters, under-counter units and bottle coolers in restaurants, bakeries and groceries. We ask for the model in advance so the technician arrives with the right tools and parts for that unit's size and type.

How does Jeddah's humidity affect kitchen fridges?

Warm, humid air enters through any worn gasket and condenses inside the cabinet, raising the load on the compressor and speeding gasket wear. Salt in Jeddah's sea air also corrodes condenser parts over time. That is why we check gaskets and the condenser condition carefully at every service visit.

Can the fridge be repaired without shutting the kitchen down?

For most repairs, yes. Cleaning the condenser and replacing a fan motor or gasket takes the fridge out of service for a short time only. If the repair needs the refrigerant recovered and recharged we tell you the expected time beforehand so you can prepare your stock.

Why does water keep collecting inside my kitchen fridge?

The most common cause is a worn door gasket letting humid kitchen air in, which then condenses on the walls and shelves. A blocked defrost drain at the base of the unit is another frequent cause. We check the gaskets and the drain line on site and identify the problem before starting any repair.

Our fridge for fillings and creams is critical, how do you keep it stable?

We inspect the compressor, thermostat and condenser carefully, and log temperatures before and after to confirm the fridge stays in the safe range.

Our oven sits right next to the fridge, does that affect cooling?

Yes, oven heat forces the fridge to work harder. We inspect the condenser and fan with extra care because the heat load is higher.

Baking grease coats the condenser coils, how do you clean it safely?

We use safe brushing and specialist cleaning fluid designed for delicate coils without damaging the tubing. Regular cleaning keeps cooling efficient.

Condensation drips onto the floor from our fridge, what is the fix?

Drain lines may be clogged with grease or debris; we clear them and check the slope to ensure water flows away freely.
