When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?

| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Hamra is a mixed west-side district with large malls and shopping complexes amid old and new residential areas, and the location between sea and desert means sharp seasonal humidity swings and desert dust entering with incoming air. High traffic, solar heat and dust call for a powerful AC system with high-tech air filtration and precise drainage control. Cleaning air filters and inspecting ducts for dust monthly is essential, as dust buildup rapidly reduces efficiency.
Al Hamra sits in mixed west Jeddah between coastal and desert zones, with malls subject to dust exposure and high humidity swings.
AC systems in Al Hamra are typically centralised with heavy-duty advanced-type air filters and need filter changes more frequently than other districts due to dust.
The AC setup in Al Hamra
- 1
Multi-stage air filtration with heavy-duty filters
The filtration system uses heavy pre-filters to capture coarse dust, then intermediate and final fine filters for smaller particles and contaminants.
- 2
Drainage system with high capacity
Drain lines are sized larger with steep steady slopes, and collection tanks are oversized to handle moisture surges from seasonal humidity swings.
- 3
Outdoor units protected from desert dust
Outdoor units have protective mesh guards and intake positioned in cleaner areas when possible, with roof shrouds protecting from dust and rare rain.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Hamra
- 1
Check the filter condition before the visit
Open the filter chamber and check the colour and thickness before the visit, and tell the team how many filters you have so they bring the right quantities.
- 2
Ensure access to ducts and roof
Check that duct routes and the roof are safe and clear of obstacles, especially areas where dust accumulates rapidly.
- 3
Schedule regular filter replacement
Arrange with the team for monthly or six-weekly filter changes, with reminder messages a week before.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
Desert dust clogs the filters quickly, how do we handle it?
We use high-grade stepwise-protection filters and recommend monthly changes or every six weeks depending on dust density. We inspect regularly and alert you when replacement is needed.
Humidity rises and falls with seasons, does this harm the system?
Yes, sharp humidity swings can cause condensation and irregular drainage. We design drainage for high capacity and monitor humidity regularly to ensure stability.
Desert dust enters through the mall doors, how do we protect the goods?
We design multi-stage filtration and recommend air-separation vestibules at mall entrances. Final-stage filters ensure clean air reaches the retail zones.
Given the heat and dust, do these malls need more maintenance than others?
Yes, routine maintenance includes monthly filter inspections, duct cleaning every six months, and outdoor unit dust checks at least quarterly.
