When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Air distribution | Load study per zone | One unit for the whole space |
| Ductwork | G90 sheet, sized for the job | Off-the-shelf wrong size |
| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Andalus is a mixed district with retail shops, hotels and medium-sized public spaces where heat enters powerfully from the west in late afternoon. The area sees continuous customer flow and open doors throughout working hours, raising heat load on AC units. Water drainage from high humidity needs close attention in crowded public spaces to avoid dampness and mould.
Al Andalus is in western Jeddah, a mixed retail and tourism district with mid-sized shops and hotels.
Mid-sized shops and hotels in Al Andalus need multiple splits or a medium-capacity commercial unit, with outdoor units typically placed on facades or rear yards.
The AC setup in Al Andalus
- 1
Multiple splits for mid-sized shops and public spaces
Most mid-sized shops and public spaces in Al Andalus need multiple splits to distribute cooling evenly.
- 2
Mid-capacity commercial unit for small hotels
Small and medium hotels in Al Andalus need a mid-capacity commercial unit with higher capacity than standard splits.
- 3
Outdoor units on facades and yards with strong drainage
Outdoor units go on shop facades or rear yards with strong drainage handling the high humidity typical of this area.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
My shop has a west-facing front and the sun heats it heavily, is standard AC enough?
No, west-facing fronts catch strong afternoon sun. We choose a unit with higher capacity than standard and suggest adding thermal insulation or reflective blinds if possible.
In crowded public spaces and shops, humidity is very high, is drainage safe?
Yes, crowded spaces produce high humidity. We install robust drainage with traps and clean the drain pan every two months to prevent mould and odours.
A hotel with multiple floors, should I have one unit or separate ones?
It depends on number of floors and area. Small hotels may need one powerful commercial unit, while larger ones need separate units per section or floor.
My shop's wiring is old, do I need an upgrade before installation?
We inspect the wiring before installation. If it is very old and weak, you may need an upgrade or a new separate circuit for the new AC.
