When you need a retail HVAC specialist

  1. 1

A new mall or shopping centre

A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.

  2. 2

An existing shop with uneven cooling

The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.

  3. 3

Condensate dripping on shelves or display

A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.

Who it's for

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Site survey and loads

We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.

  2. 2

    Design and materials

We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.

  3. 3

    Installation coordinated on site

We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.

  4. 4

    Start-up and maintenance contract

We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.

What sets this district apart

Al Wahah is a rapidly growing district mixing residential and commercial use, with successive building projects and new shops amid residential buildings. This mixed use means shops and small malls here need smart cooling systems that adapt to changing daily loads. Intense heat and high humidity from relative closeness to the coast make drainage and maintenance critical, especially in shops selling food products or humidity-sensitive clothing.

Al Wahah is in east Jeddah, an emerging residential-commercial district rapidly developing with housing projects and new shops.

Individual shops and small malls here install simple or multi-head splits, while new larger projects use package units to modern standards.

The AC setup in Al Wahah

  1. 1

Simple and multi-head splits for individual shops

Individual and small shops in Al Wahah use simple or multi-head splits to manage different temperatures as needed.

  2. 2

Package units for new large projects

New malls and large commercial projects install high-capacity package units on roofs, with well-designed ductwork throughout.

  3. 3

    Humidity-focused drainage design

Proximity to the coast and high humidity demand immediate strong drainage, with self-drying systems and strict regular maintenance.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Wahah

  1. 1

    Provide shop or project details

Tell us the product type, expected floor area and daily foot traffic estimate, so we can assess heat load accurately.

  2. 2

    Sensitively identify outdoor unit location

If the shop is beside residential buildings, agree with us on an outdoor unit location that does not disturb residents or leak water onto the building entrance.

  3. 3

    Agree a regular maintenance plan

Because of high humidity, we recommend monthly or quarterly maintenance. Fix dates before starting and stick to them to protect your stock.

FAQ

Questions about Mall & retail HVAC

How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?

An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.

Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?

Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.

Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?

A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.

How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?

Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.

Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?

The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.

I'm opening a new shop in Al Wahah, where do I start with choosing AC?

We visit for a site survey, measure space, insulation and lighting, estimate expected foot traffic, then recommend a system suited to your needs and budget.

The shop is next to the apartment building entrance, is AC placement a problem?

The outdoor unit needs a location that does not obstruct the entrance or disturb residents. We choose a side wall or safe corner, and ensure no water drips onto the building entrance.

I sell food products, does the high humidity here affect the AC?

Yes, the high humidity in Al Wahah needs strong drainage and high-efficiency units. We install self-drying systems and carry out monthly maintenance to clean coils and pipes.

A large new development is opening here, can you handle maintenance and repairs after opening?

Yes, we offer annual maintenance contracts and emergency support. We plan with the owner a regular schedule suited to trading hours, and respond to critical breakdowns.
