Split AC installation in Al Aziziyah

In Al Aziziyah, central Jeddah, split AC installation in residential homes and commercial shops requires careful balance between tight spaces and performance. Alrabih's team installs both units with precision, properly insulated copper, and correct drainage slope, so cooling begins from the first hour.

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Aziziyah is a medium-density district with mid-rise apartment blocks and ground-floor shops beneath residential units, and buildings here are slightly older than western areas but have reasonable exterior wall space. Installation requires understanding the electrical load distribution in mid-rise buildings and coordination with owners or building managers about pipe routing and facade impact.

Al Aziziyah sits in central Jeddah, a mixed residential and commercial district of medium-rise blocks and apartment buildings.

Most outdoor units in Al Aziziyah are mounted on limited balconies or exterior walls, as rooftop space is tighter than in newer districts.

The AC setup in Al Aziziyah

  1. 1

    Split units on narrow balconies

Flats in Al Aziziyah rely on small balconies for outdoor units, requiring compact unit selection and very secure mounting.

  2. 2

    Units on shared electrical loads

Older residential buildings here may share electrical loads among several units, so we check the dedicated breaker and recommend circuit expansion if needed.

  3. 3

    Drainage lines on shared walls

Drainage may need routing on a shared exterior wall, so we choose insulated pipes and route them to avoid neighbour disturbance.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Aziziyah

  1. 1

Coordinate with the building or shop manager

Notify the building manager or shop owner of the visit date and proposed outdoor unit location at least a week in advance.

  2. 2

    Estimate the distance between units

Roughly measure the distance from the planned indoor unit location to outside (through wall or balcony) and give us the approximate figure.

  3. 3

Check the condition of old electrical wiring

If the flat is older, confirm the electrical wiring is safe and undamaged before the visit.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

My building's electrical system is older, will it handle the split AC?

We inspect the electrical panel and circuit breaker before installation and verify the load is safe. If the supply is very weak, we recommend upgrades before starting.

My flat is small and the walls are cluttered, where do you mount the outdoor unit?

We find space on the available balcony or exterior wall, and coordinate with neighbours if the unit sits close to their windows to minimise disturbance.

The humidity here is high, does it affect the AC equipment?

Yes, high humidity accelerates corrosion, so we select outdoor units with strong protective coating and ensure condensate drains correctly to prevent water pooling.

The building manager controls the electrical supply, how do we coordinate installation?

We ask you to agree with the building manager on installation timing and outdoor unit location in advance, and we provide a diagram of drainage and wiring for his approval.
