Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Al Sahifah
In Al Sahifah, central Jeddah, split installation in mixed commercial and residential buildings needs coordination with both shop and flat owners. Alrabih installs the unit carefully from the start so it runs quietly and without leaks.
- Mueller copper

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Al Sahifah is a mixed central district of shops and closely packed residential flats, usually ground-floor shops with flats above. Streets are fairly narrow and buildings are close together, which limits natural airflow and increases AC load. Humidity here is moderate but dust and pollution from continuous commercial activity is higher than quiet residential districts. Installation must account for tight spaces and coordination with multiple families and shop owners.
Al Sahifah sits in central Jeddah, a mixed district of close-packed shops and residential flats around the market and main roads.
Most flats and shops in Al Sahifah have one or two split units, with outdoor units typically mounted on narrow walls or small balconies because space is limited.
The AC setup in Al Sahifah
- 1
Separate split per shop or flat
Most shops and flats in Al Sahifah have their own unit because of the mixed building nature and tight spaces.
- 2
Outdoor units on narrow walls or small balconies
Outdoor units are usually mounted on tight walls or limited balconies because shops and blocks are so closely built.
- 3
Drainage routed carefully on shared paths
Drainage often runs through shared areas or tight passages, so we choose the best route to avoid bothering neighbours.
Before the visit
Before our visit in Al Sahifah
- 1
Coordinate with the shop owner or flat occupant
Tell the shop owner and any connected flat occupant the visit time in advance to avoid clashes and get approval for the outdoor unit location.
- 2
Identify a close and safe parking spot
Al Sahifah's streets are very tight, so identify the nearest safe parking spot before the date to make it easier for the team and equipment to enter.
- 3
Confirm access to the outdoor unit and drainage route
Check that the planned outdoor unit location and proposed drainage route are accessible without disturbing neighbours or other shop owners.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
How do you install an AC in a shop right next to a residential flat?
We coordinate with both the shop owner and flat tenant before installation. We choose an outdoor unit location that does not trouble either party, usually on a shared wall or neutral corner.
The streets are narrow, how do you get large equipment in?
Our team carries equipment by hand through narrow passages. We agree in advance on the closest parking and easiest entry route.
Does dust from commercial activity affect the installation?
Yes, dust accumulates faster. We vacuum the copper lines with extra care, and use high-quality materials that resist dirt better.
Old buildings, can drainage cause problems?
Existing drains may be old or tight. We install new drainage at the right angle toward a safe collection point, and agree with the owner on the best route.
