Split AC installation in Al Naeem

Split AC installation in Al Naeem requires attention to detail because most of the modern villas and blocks here sit on open plots with wide facades. Alrabih's team places both units carefully, runs insulated copper with the correct fall, vacuums the line before start-up, and ensures quiet cooling with no dripping from day one.

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Al Naeem is a relatively modern northern district with spacious villas and residential blocks spaced apart on regular, wide streets, making it easy for the team and equipment to reach the site. The large plots and open facades allow better placement of the outdoor unit, but the longer distance between indoor and outdoor units means the insulated copper and drainage slope must be fitted with extra care to prevent water pooling.

Al Naeem lies in north Jeddah, an area of modern villas and residential blocks spread across spacious plots.

Most new villas and blocks in Al Naeem require longer copper runs from indoor to outdoor unit, making insulation quality and slope gradient essential.

The AC setup in Al Naeem

  1. 1

Single or multiple splits depending on villa size

Larger villas in Al Naeem often need more than one split unit, with each placed in a separate room or zone according to the interior layout.

  2. 2

Single or multiple outdoor units on the facade

We choose the outdoor unit's position on the villa facade based on ventilation and maintenance access, avoiding direct sun exposure where possible.

  3. 3

Insulated copper runs matched to villa size

Long distances between units require premium insulation and proper pipe sizing to ensure excellent performance throughout the unit's life.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Naeem

  1. 1

Confirm road and gate access for the team

Tell us the villa's exact location and main gate, and ensure the access road allows the vehicle and equipment to enter easily.

  2. 2

Identify all rooms needing AC units

Give us a list of rooms or zones needing splits, with rough measurements for each room if you have them.

  3. 3

Locate the electrical panel and plumbing routes

Make sure the electrical distribution panel and existing pipes are accessible without obstruction, as we may need to run supply or drainage from specific points.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

Villas in Al Naeem are spacious; does the long distance between units affect performance?

Long distances do not harm performance if the copper is properly sized and well insulated. We choose the pipe diameter to suit the unit's capacity and distance, and wrap it in high-quality insulation to minimise cooling loss.

How do you handle water drainage when the outdoor unit is far away?

We ensure the drain line slopes correctly from the indoor to outdoor unit, and position the outdoor unit lower than the indoor one to allow natural drainage without water pooling.

Al Naeem gets intense summer heat; does it affect installation and performance?

Intense heat increases the cooling load, so we place the outdoor unit in shade or protected from direct sun where possible. Well-insulated copper maintains cooling efficiency even in extreme heat.

Al Naeem's wide streets offer parking space, but do the villas need long electrical runs?

We check the villa's main electrical panel location before installation and run the supply from the nearest safe point. If needed, we use cables rated for the load and use protected conduit for the wiring.
