Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Al Nur
Installing a split AC in Al Nur, north Jeddah, demands careful placement of both units and properly sloped insulated copper to prevent dripping and noise. Alrabih's team vacuums the refrigerant line before start-up to ensure quiet, efficient cooling from day one.
- Mueller copper
- Full vacuum
- Proper drain

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

What the installation covers
- Site check and unit positions
- Insulated copper, sealed wall core
- Drain line with correct fall
- Vacuum and leak test
- Start-up test with you present
How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Al Nur is a fairly modern mix of villas and apartment blocks with reasonable outdoor space, making it straightforward to run copper and pipes smoothly between indoor and outdoor units. The wider spacing between buildings means outdoor-unit mounting does not need complex solutions, reducing later dripping and vibration. The sandy soil and seasonal dust in the area call for care in protecting the copper lines from corrosion.
Al Nur lies in north Jeddah, a moderately dense residential area of modern villas and apartment blocks with relatively wide streets.
Most residential buildings in Al Nur use separate split units per flat or villa, with outdoor units placed on exposed external walls or ground-level pads.
The AC setup in Al Nur
- 1
Separate split per residential unit
Most villas and flats in Al Nur get their own split, making the run and future maintenance straightforward since each unit is independent.
- 2
Outdoor units on exposed pads
Villas and blocks here typically have exposed outdoor areas allowing safe outdoor-unit placement away from walls.
- 3
Medium-length copper runs
The distance between indoor and outdoor units in Al Nur is usually moderate because of reasonable spacing between building sections.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
How do you handle the mix of villas and apartment blocks in Al Nur?
We assess each building individually and design the copper run based on available space and height. Villas typically need shorter runs, while flats in blocks are designed so the line slopes correctly from upper floors to the outdoor unit.
The streets in Al Nur are wide, does that make installation easier?
Yes, the wide streets give us plenty of space to park close to the entrance and load equipment easily, speeding up installation.
Does the dust and sand in the area damage the copper lines?
Yes, seasonal dust and coastal humidity can corrode exposed copper. That is why we use thick insulation and protect the runs from direct exposure to dust and moisture.
Outdoor units on ground pads, how do you ensure proper water drainage slope?
We survey the outdoor location before installation and confirm natural ground slope, or slightly elevate the unit on a pad to allow proper condensate drainage.
