Split AC installation in Al Quzain

In Al Quzain, south Jeddah, installing split units in villas and residential blocks requires coordination with potentially limited space and narrow passages. Alrabih's team works efficiently in these conditions to place each unit for steady cooling without drainage or noise issues.

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.

What sets this district apart

Al Quzain is a south Jeddah residential district of medium villas and residential blocks at moderate to high density with relatively narrow streets. This density means outdoor space is limited and units may need creative mounting on tight facades or small balconies, with care to direct hot air away from neighbours. The southern location means high daytime heat and critical insulation of the copper to prevent condensation.

Al Quzain sits in south Jeddah, a dense residential zone of villas and blocks with limited outdoor space.

Most villas and blocks here use medium-capacity splits, and outdoor units are often mounted in tight spaces or small balconies.

The AC setup in Al Quzain

  1. 1

Split units in small villas with limited space

Small villas in Al Quzain typically rely on one powerful unit or two creatively sited on tight walls.

  2. 2

Split units in dense residential blocks

Dense blocks here rely on one or two split units per flat, with outdoor units in limited spots.

  3. 3

Outdoor units on balconies and tight corners

Many outdoor units mount on small balconies or tight corners, requiring careful secure mounting and hot-air direction.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Quzain

  1. 1

Identify the nearest safe parking point from the street

Al Quzain streets are tight, so tell us the nearest safe spot for the team and we may need multiple trips to carry equipment.

  2. 2

Tell us about interior and exterior space

A quick description of villa or flat size and available exterior space helps us select the best unit locations.

  3. 3

Check neighbors do not object to the outdoor unit placement

In dense areas, neighbours may object to an outdoor unit if it faces their wall. We ask about this in advance.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

My villa is small and the outdoor space is very tight, where can the unit go?

We choose the most efficient spot between a side wall, balcony, or even a high corner of the front wall if reasonable. We ensure hot air exits well away from the neighbour's side.

The street is narrow and parking is very difficult, how do you get in?

We agree with you on the nearest safe parking and may carry tools and units in stages. We time the visit for less busy hours where possible.

Both humidity and heat are intense here, does that increase condensation issues?

Yes, combined heat and humidity increase condensation risk on pipes and the outdoor unit. We use thick, high-grade insulation and seal all joints with extra care.

The stairwell is very tight and ceilings are low, can you install the indoor unit in an unusual spot?

Possibly, but the indoor unit's location affects air distribution and efficiency. We visit to assess safe, practical options and explain how placement might affect performance.
