Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Al Rawasi
In Al Rawasi, east Jeddah, installing a new split AC requires precision in positioning both units, running insulated copper properly, and ensuring the drain falls correctly to prevent leaks and noise. Alrabih's team vacuums the line before start-up to ensure immediate, smooth cooling.

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Al Rawasi is a relatively modern residential district with villas and flats set on reasonable plots with available outdoor space, giving much more flexibility to position the outdoor unit away from the street and neighbours. That space allows longer, cleaner copper runs without cutting walls or routing around obstacles. The newer residential character here comes with stable power and standardized internal wiring, making it straightforward to connect the new split to the existing electrical circuits.
Al Rawasi sits in east Jeddah as a modern residential district of villas and flats spread over reasonable plots with available outdoor space.
Most installations here balance the desire for clean in-wall pipe runs with the availability of outdoor space for a comfortable outdoor-unit placement.
The AC setup in Al Rawasi
- 1
Outdoor unit on the east or north wall
The outdoor spaces in Al Rawasi allow us to mount the outdoor unit on walls away from the street, cutting noise and visual impact.
- 2
Insulated pipes hidden in walls or ceilings
Al Rawasi's modern construction allows us to route pipes cleanly out of sight, improving appearance and maintaining cold-air flow without heat loss.
- 3
Drainage routed by building type
In villas we run drainage outward; in flats we tie it to the building's central system, with proper slope in both cases.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
Can copper pipes be hidden inside the wall in Al Rawasi?
Yes, we hide the pipes inside walls when the building structure allows, but we inspect the materials and wall strength first. A visit lets us map the safest route.
I'm in a villa, does the outdoor space affect where we place the unit?
The outdoor space in villas gives us more options, but we prefer placing it away from bedrooms and living areas to cut noise, and clear of standing water or dust traps.
Summer heat in the east is intense, does this affect the split's output?
High heat and direct sun increase the cooling load, so we position the outdoor unit to catch partial shade where possible, and ensure air flows freely around it.
Drainage differs between villas and flats, do you handle it differently?
Yes, in villas we direct the drain toward the garden or external outlet, and in flats we connect it carefully to the building's central drain, with the pipe always on the correct slope.
