Split AC installation in Al Ruwais

In Al Ruwais, central Jeddah, new split installation requires careful positioning and insulated copper runs to ensure stable cooling. Alrabih vacuums the refrigerant line before start-up to eliminate noise and moisture from day one.

  • Mueller copper
  • Full vacuum
  • Proper drain

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Al Ruwais is a mixed residential district with older villas and newer apartment blocks with varied outdoor space, and some older buildings lack wide balconies. Split installation here calls for finding safe positions for outdoor units on walls or roofs even in tight spaces, and routing copper carefully without damaging older facades or walls.

Al Ruwais is a mixed central residential district of older villas and newer apartment blocks.

Older villas here use single split units, newer blocks use single or dual units, with outdoor units typically on roofs or narrow side walls.

The AC setup in Al Ruwais

  1. 1

    Single split in older villas

Older Al Ruwais villas typically need just one split unit for main spaces.

  2. 2

Single or dual split in modern blocks

Newer blocks may use two units together for full flat coverage, especially larger units.

  3. 3

Outdoor unit on narrow side wall

Many older buildings need the unit mounted on a narrow side wall without spacious balconies.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Ruwais

  1. 1

Assess walls and roofs for safe positions

Check wall and roof condition before the visit, and identify the best position for the outdoor unit away from cracks or damage.

  2. 2

Confirm easy access to the chosen position

If on the roof, ensure safe access and the roof can support the unit and the installation team.

  3. 3

Gather any history of building repairs or works

If walls were previously repaired or renovated, let us know to avoid drilling in compromised areas.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

My old villa has no wide balcony, where would you place the outdoor unit?

We choose a safe side wall or mount it on the roof if access is secure. We assess the site first to find the best option.

The old walls are fragile, how do you drill without cracking them?

We drill slowly without excessive pressure, avoiding existing cracks and structural features.

Can we cover the outdoor unit in winter?

We advise against tight covers as the unit needs continuous airflow. Instead, regular cleaning and seasonal checks are better.

Does copper run on old exterior walls affect the facade?

We route lines neatly and paint them to match the wall, or use metal conduits suited to older architecture.
