Split AC installation in Al Tilal

In Al Tilal, east Jeddah, installing a new split AC benefits from wider spaces and better natural airflow. Alrabih positions the units carefully, vacuums the copper dry, and starts cooling with precision so the unit runs cold and clean from day one.

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.

What sets this district apart

Al Tilal is a modern eastern district featuring spacious villas and contemporary buildings set among green spaces and very wide streets, offering many options for outdoor-unit placement and long copper runs without strain. Buildings here are well spaced and lit, so the outdoor air is cleaner and dust accumulation lower than in crowded central districts. Drainage here benefits from raised foundations and large gardens, so water slopes away from buildings easily.

Al Tilal lies in east Jeddah, a district of modern, well-spaced villas and buildings set among generous green areas.

Most villas and buildings here allow comfortable outdoor-unit placement and long copper runs due to generous distances and large gardens.

The AC setup in Al Tilal

  1. 1

Split with extended copper from the garden indoors

Large villas allow the outdoor unit to sit far from the building in the garden, with extended insulated copper routed carefully indoors.

  2. 2

    Multi-head split serving separate rooms

Modern buildings accommodate one outdoor unit feeding multiple indoor units across different wings or floors.

  3. 3

Outdoor unit on the foundation or far wall

Some villas prefer mounting the outdoor unit on a separate pad in a far corner, completely away from living zones.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Tilal

  1. 1

Choose the outdoor-unit spot in the garden

Decide whether you want the unit on a pad in the garden or on a distant house wall, and choose a spot with natural ventilation.

  2. 2

Ensure access to both indoor and outdoor locations

Confirm the team can easily access the indoor room and garden on installation day with sufficient space for tools.

  3. 3

Mark the copper and drain route through walls or ceilings

Tell us if you prefer the copper and drain through walls, ceilings, or the garden, especially if there are finishes you wish to protect.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

My garden is very large, what is the best spot for the outdoor unit?

The rear or side garden away from living pathways is excellent. We suggest a spot that doesn't block natural breeze and keeps noise far from the sitting areas.

Our streets are very wide, does that affect the installation?

On the contrary, wide streets give us ample space to park the team's vehicle and move equipment comfortably, speeding the work.

The air here is cleaner, will my AC last longer without cleaning?

Yes, cleaner air and good airflow reduce dust build-up. However, annual cleaning maintains peak efficiency and cools quietly.

Does the long copper run affect cooling power across these wide distances?

Long runs do not reduce cooling if the line is vacuumed properly and insulated well. We ensure complete evacuation before start-up.
