Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Al Wadi
Split AC installation in Al Wadi requires careful attention to detail, especially with the closely spaced villas and mid-rise blocks in this established neighbourhood. Alrabih's team installs both units precisely, evacuates the line before start-up, and delivers leak-free, quiet cooling.
- Mueller copper
- Full vacuum
- Proper drain

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

- Insulated copper, sealed wall core
- Drain line with correct fall
- Vacuum and leak test
- Start-up test with you present
How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Al Wadi is an established residential district south of Jeddah, mixing closely spaced villas with mid-rise blocks on limited land. The proximity of buildings restricts outdoor-unit options, so they are often mounted on narrow facades or roof edges. Copper runs between adjacent rooms need tight planning, and robust pipe insulation is essential since the outdoor units face moderate heat but some moisture. Roof access is usually straightforward because of fixed stairs and railings.
Al Wadi is in south Jeddah, an established residential area with closely built blocks and similarly sized villas.
Independent splits are the norm, though many buildings have shared outdoor units on roofs serving two or three indoor units.
The AC setup in Al Wadi
- 1
Independent or shared split on the roof
Closely spaced villas in Al Wadi may share a single outdoor unit on the roof or have their own, depending on preference.
- 2
Compact copper runs between adjoining rooms
Short distances between rooms in these buildings need precise, well-insulated copper runs.
- 3
Outdoor units on narrow facades or roof edges
Limited outdoor space forces use of narrow facades and roof edges, which require secure fixing and robust brackets.

- 2
Coordinate with the neighbour if the unit is shared
If the outdoor unit is shared with a neighbour, confirm their agreement on the installation date before booking.
- 3
Check the strength of the exterior wall or roof
Make sure the wall or roof where the unit will be mounted is strong enough to bear its weight and vibration.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
My villa sits very close to my neighbour's, does the outdoor unit affect privacy?
We position the outdoor unit away from the neighbour's windows where possible. Usually we place it at the back of the house or in a sheltered corner on the roof.
The street is narrow with parked cars, how will you get equipment in?
We ask you to identify the closest safe parking spot beforehand, and the team carries tools from there on foot. We usually find a practical solution with neighbours.
There is humidity from the sea breeze, does it affect the unit?
Moderate humidity gradually corrodes copper, so we use thick insulation and corrosion-resistant materials. Regular servicing keeps the unit working well.
The pipes will run on an old exterior wall, is that safe?
We inspect the wall first and confirm it is strong enough before fixing. If the wall is weak, we find an alternative route or reinforce the mounting points with heavy brackets.
