Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Al Yaqoot
In Al Yaqoot, north Jeddah, split AC installation demands precision because most of the modern villas and residential blocks need longer copper runs and proper drainage setup. Alrabih's team positions both units carefully, vacuums the refrigerant line before start-up, so cooling works quietly from day one without condensation dripping.
- Mueller copper
- Full vacuum
- Proper drain

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Al Yaqoot is a modern neighbourhood with spacious villas and mid-rise residential blocks that have adequate outdoor space, making it easier to place outdoor units in suitable locations away from damp walls and constant shade. The streets are laid out regularly and access is straightforward, but outdoor space in some smaller villas can be tight, so the copper run and drain path need careful planning to slope correctly and stay out of sight.
Al Yaqoot is in north Jeddah, a neighbourhood of modern villas and residential blocks with open outdoor spaces.
Most installations here need a medium copper run (5 to 10 metres) from indoor to outdoor unit, and outdoor units are typically mounted on north or east-facing walls to avoid direct heat.
The AC setup in Al Yaqoot
- 1
Single or multi-room split in a villa
Most Al Yaqoot villas need one or more splits depending on size and rooms, with the outdoor unit mounted in a separate location away from the front garden.
- 2
Split units in multi-storey residential blocks
Blocks in Al Yaqoot use separate splits per flat, with outdoor units mounted on façades or the roof depending on the building layout.
- 3
Medium copper runs with regular drainage slope
The distance between indoor and outdoor units here is typically medium (5 to 10 metres), allowing a neat copper run and water drainage that slopes at the correct angle.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
My villa has a large garden, how do you mount the outdoor unit?
We choose an east or north-facing wall away from shade and damp, and ensure the outdoor unit does not block the garden view or sit near any water source.
Al Yaqoot's streets are wide and parking is easy, but reaching the back garden needs coordination?
Yes, if the outdoor unit sits in a back garden, we ask you to confirm the easiest path and which gate we should use before arriving.
Al Yaqoot gets very hot in summer, does that affect the copper installation?
Yes, we insulate the copper carefully and route it away from sun-exposed surfaces to prevent cooling loss and ensure stable pressure in the line.
Power in the villa might be far from the outdoor unit, what distance can you handle?
The electrical run depends on the unit's capacity, but we typically run the power cable alongside the copper with strong insulation, and we assess this at the first visit.
