Fitted right first time
Split AC installation in Tabah
In Tabah, north Jeddah, split installation calls for careful planning because the newer residential stock mixes detached villas with apartment blocks across open plots. Alrabih's team places the outdoor unit thoughtfully, runs insulated copper and drain with the right fall, and vacuums the line before start-up.

When you need a proper installer
- 1
A new unit for a room or flat
You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.
- 2
Not sure where the outdoor unit goes
In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.
- 3
A past install that went wrong
Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.
Who it's for
Moving into a new flat that needs AC
We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.
Ask on WhatsAppFitting AC in a shop or office
We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.
- 2
Agree positions and route
On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.
- 3
Fit and vacuum
We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.
A careful install or a rushed one?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Vacuum | Pumped before start-up | Often skipped |
| Copper | Mueller, fully insulated | Patchy insulation |
| Drain | Falls, so no drips | Water down the wall |
| Outdoor unit spot | Airy and easy to reach | Wherever it fits |
| Wall opening | Sealed tight | Dust gets through |

What sets this district apart
Tabah is a relatively modern district mixing detached villas with spaced apartment blocks and wide streets that allow easy access to sites. This layout means outdoor units at villas may sit far from the indoor unit, so longer copper runs need good insulation to avoid cooling loss. The apartment blocks here often need coordination with building management to secure a safe fixing point on the roof or facade.
Tabah is in north Jeddah, a modern residential district blending detached villas with apartment blocks across spacious, open plots.
Most villas in Tabah need long copper runs from outdoor to indoor unit, while apartment blocks rely on shared roof-mounted units.

Before the visit
Before our visit in Tabah
- 1
Locate your electrical panel and available circuit
Know where your electrical panel is and which circuit near the split location is free, so we can assess safe connection.
- 2
Agree on outdoor unit location before the visit
In an apartment block, confirm building management's approval of the fixing point. In a villa, decide where the outdoor unit should sit to keep it away from noise and direct sun as much as possible.
- 3
Check access to roofs or external walls
In blocks, ensure the roof is safe and accessible. In villas, identify the best external wall for secure fixing and proper drainage.

FAQ
Questions about Split AC installation
Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?
Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.
Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?
New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.
Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?
Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.
Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?
It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.
What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?
We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.
My villa is spacious and the outdoor unit will be far from the indoor one, does that affect performance?
Long runs need high-quality insulated copper and proper routing to prevent cooling loss. Our team chooses the copper path to minimise length and wraps it securely.
I'm installing a split in an apartment block, who approves the outdoor unit location?
Building management sets the approved points on the roof or facades. We will coordinate with them and you to confirm the location before fixing.
Tabah gets very hot in summer, can a new split handle the high temperature?
Modern units operate efficiently at high temperatures, but installation quality and insulation affect steady performance. Well-insulated copper keeps the unit efficient even in extreme heat.
The electrical circuit in my villa may be far from the split location, is that an issue?
It depends on the unit's capacity and distance from the electrical panel. We will visit to assess the existing wiring and decide whether a new circuit is needed or safe connection via the existing one is possible.
