Split AC installation in Umm Sidrah

Split AC installation in Umm Sidrah, north-east Jeddah, needs special attention because buildings here mix old and new villas with government housing blocks. We mount both units precisely, run insulated copper and a drain at the right slope, then vacuum the line before start-up.

  • Mueller copper
  • Full vacuum
  • Proper drain

When you need a proper installer

  1. 1

A new unit for a room or flat

You have bought the unit, or are about to, and want it fitted once, not to find a refrigerant leak or water on the floor a few weeks later. Getting it right first time saves you all of that.

  2. 2

Not sure where the outdoor unit goes

In Jeddah flats the choice is usually the roof, the balcony or the facade. We pick a spot where the condenser gets enough air, a technician can reach it for servicing, and neither noise nor drain water bothers the neighbours.

  3. 3

A past install that went wrong

Weak cooling since day one, water running down the wall, a loud indoor unit. These are usually installation mistakes, not faults in the unit, and our installation is built step by step to avoid them.

Who it's for

  • Moving into a new flat that needs AC

We plan every unit position and copper route in one go, so the whole flat ends up neat and consistent.

    Ask on WhatsApp
  • Fitting AC in a shop or office

We place the units so cool air reaches the entrance and the work area, and arrange outdoor units and drains to suit the shopfront and the building's rules.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send a photo

WhatsApp us a photo of the room, where the outdoor unit might go and your district, and we tell you what the job needs before the visit.

  2. 2

    Agree positions and route

On site, the technician agrees the unit positions and the copper and drain route with you before drilling any wall.

  3. 3

    Fit and vacuum

We mount both units, run and insulate the copper, then vacuum the line with a pump and check the joints before releasing the refrigerant held in the outdoor unit.

  4. 4

    Start-up and handover

We run the unit, measure the air coming out, check the drain flows, then leave the room clean and show you the remote and how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart

Umm Sidrah is a mixed residential neighbourhood in north-east Jeddah, with old and new villas alongside government housing blocks and varied outdoor spaces. Some older villas have low roofs and thin walls, while newer blocks have high roofs and limited space. This mix means our site assessment and capacity choice must be flexible and tailored to each case.

Umm Sidrah sits in north-east Jeddah and is a mixed residential area of old and new villas mixed with government housing blocks and varied outdoor space.

Buildings in Umm Sidrah vary in design and age, so some need small split units and others larger capacity. Outdoor units go on roofs of varying height and strength, sometimes on exterior walls because outdoor space is tight.

The AC setup in Umm Sidrah

  1. 1

Outdoor unit on high roof or exterior wall

The mix of villas and blocks in Umm Sidrah means the outdoor unit may go on a roof or exterior wall depending on available space and position.

  2. 2

Insulated copper in varying lengths with support bases

Distances between units vary across different buildings, so we use strong support bases for weak or thin roofs.

  3. 3

Flexible drain with multiple drainage options

Limited space calls for flexible drains that may run to a villa gutter, flat drain or designated outdoor area depending on the position.

Before the visit

Remove furniture and items from outdoor and indoor passages to ensure safe movement for the team from the villa or flat entrance to the installation point.

FAQ

Questions about Split AC installation

Will you install a unit I bought elsewhere?

Yes, we install units you have bought yourself. Before the visit we ask the model, its capacity and where both units will go, so we know the copper length. If you have not bought one yet, we are an authorised distributor for Carrier, YORK, General, Midea, Gree and Smart Gold and can help you choose.

Why does the line need vacuuming before start-up?

New pipes hold air and moisture, and Jeddah's humid air adds more. Mixed with refrigerant, they weaken cooling and strain the compressor over time. We pull them out with a vacuum pump, watch that the reading holds so we know the line is tight, and only then release the refrigerant.

Can the outdoor unit be far from the room?

Yes, within the manufacturer's limits for line length and height difference. We use Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints, so there are fewer joints that could leak, and the survey shows whether a long run needs extra refrigerant.

Can you hide the copper and cables in the wall?

It depends on the house. In a new build or during finishing works, the copper can run inside the wall before plastering. In a lived-in home we use neat plastic trunking in the wall colour. We show you the better option for your home at the survey, before any work starts.

What if the outside wall cannot carry the unit?

We check the wall before fixing anything, because some facades are clad in stone or panels that cannot take the weight. Then we set the unit on a floor stand on the roof or balcony, or on a bracket anchored to the concrete itself, not the cladding, so it does not shake loose.

Do old villas need different installation than new ones?

Yes, older villas may need reinforcement supports for lower roofs. We inspect the roof and walls first, then decide the best approach.

In government housing blocks, do we need building management approval?

Yes, we must coordinate with building management first. Let us know if there are rules about outdoor units or wiring.

Outdoor space is tight, where do I put the outdoor unit?

We inspect the villa or flat to find the best spot. We may mount it on an exterior wall or shared roof after coordinating with neighbours and building management.

Old roofs are weak, how do you safely fix the unit?

We use a strong weight-distributing base frame instead of direct bolting, and we recommend extra bracing if the roof is very weak.
