When a window unit is the right choice
- 1
A room with no outdoor unit space
Some rooms have no wall facing a suitable space for an outdoor unit. A window AC is the practical answer: one unit in the opening cools the room and expels heat directly outside.
- 2
An annex, staff housing or storeroom
Annexes, staff rooms and warehouses need real cooling without the cost of long copper and cable runs. A window unit suits these spaces well when the right opening exists or can be made.
- 3
An existing window of the right size
When a wall already has a window opening that matches the unit you have chosen, the frame fits straight in without cutting new concrete. We confirm at the survey that the opening suits the unit and the wall carries the load.
Who it's for
Need to cool a maid's room or home annex
We survey the opening or proposed wall in the annex, fit the unit in a secure frame and seal every gap so no hot humid air enters the space.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging a staff housing building that needs practical cooling

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send a photo
WhatsApp us a photo of the opening or the proposed wall and your district, so the technician arrives with the right frame and fixings.
- 2
Site survey
On site the technician measures the opening, checks the wall, confirms there is a suitable power point near the unit, and agrees with you on any changes needed before starting.
- 3
Fit and seal
We fit the frame level, set the unit with the correct outward tilt, then seal every gap around the frame so no hot air, dust or humidity enters.
- 4
Start-up and handover
We run the unit, check the cooling and confirm condensate flows outward, then leave the space clean and show you how to clean the filter.

What sets this district apart
Al Manarat is a coastal area right beside the sea, home to small hotels, furnished flats and short-term residential units. Windows here face strong sea winds, salt spray and high humidity year-round, so sealing must be extremely tight at every corner to resist infiltration. Window ACs here need more frequent maintenance because salt deposits on metal and insulation parts quickly.
Al Manarat sits at far north Jeddah's coastal edge, home to small hotels and furnished flats very close to the sea.
Most Al Manarat units have sea-facing windows requiring salt and marine-humidity resistant sealing much stronger than inland areas.
The AC setup in Al Manarat
- 1
Window AC sealed tight against sea and salt
Installation in Al Manarat focuses on multi-layer sealing resistant to salt and marine humidity.
- 2
Stainless-steel brackets resistant to rust and corrosion
All fastening components and metals around the window are stainless steel or salt-resistant material.
- 3
Precise tilt with protected drainage point
The tilt ensures condensate drains away, and the drainage opening is protected from salt and marine debris build-up.

FAQ
Questions about Window AC installation
Can you cut a new opening in the wall if there is none?
Yes, if no suitable opening exists we can cut one. At the survey we check the wall type and thickness and look for columns or cables that might be in the way, then agree the best position with you before any cutting begins.
Why does the outward tilt matter on a window unit?
A window unit produces condensate on its indoor side throughout operation. If the unit sits level or tilts inward, water pools in the base and runs down the inside wall. A slight outward tilt sends that water to the back of the unit and out, away from the wall and furniture.
How do you seal the gaps around the frame given Jeddah's climate?
Jeddah combines high heat, humidity and salty sea air, so sealing materials must hold up in those conditions. We use insulating and sealing materials suited to the opening and wall type, and the survey determines the right choice based on the gap size and wall construction.
Does a window unit need its own power point?
A window unit draws a high current at start-up, and sharing a socket with other appliances strains the wiring and trips the breaker. The technician checks at the survey that a suitable socket is close to the unit position, and if one is not there we explain what is needed before installation proceeds.
Does the weight of a window unit affect how it is fixed?
Yes, the unit's weight directly affects how the frame is fixed and what support is needed. A concrete wall requires different treatment from a brick wall, and a wide opening needs more support than a narrow one. The technician decides at the survey what fixing method and materials suit the unit and the wall.
Sea salt accumulates on my AC; does this damage the unit?
Yes, salt causes rapid corrosion of metal parts. At installation we seal every gap with salt-resistant material, and we recommend more frequent cleaning here.
Windows here are near the sea with strong winds; how do you secure the unit safely?
We use stainless-steel brackets and bolts anchored firmly in the window frame and wall, and check stability before closing the window.
Humidity and sea mist seep around the window; is sealing enough?
We apply salt-resistant flexible sealant to every gap between frame and wall, plus an extra insulating layer around the AC unit's edges to prevent infiltration.
The unit drains onto the external balcony; is the tilt sufficient in this high humidity?
Outward tilt ensures condensate drains away from the wall, but in Al Manarat we recommend cleaning the drainage opening every two months to prevent salt and debris blockages.
