When duct quality makes the difference
- 1
Duct losing cold air
An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.
- 2
Condensation wetting the ceiling
In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.
- 3
A project with many duct runs
A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.
Who it's for
Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork
We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Send sizes or drawings
Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.
- 2
Review sizes and sheet gauge
We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.
- 3
Fabricate, seal and insulate
We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.
- 4
Number and deliver
We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.
Workshop-made or site-cut duct?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |
|---|---|---|
| Sealing | Foster on every seam in workshop | Uneven site sealing |
| Insulation | Kimmco or Armaflex fully wrapped | Partial or delayed wrap |
| Sheet gauge | Chosen for each duct size | One gauge for everything |
| Assembly time | Numbered, assembled straight away | Cut and adjust on site |
| Joint fit | Workshop dimensions close every joint | Hand trimming breaks the seal |

What sets this district apart
Al Huda is a relatively modern residential area with spacious villas and mid-rise blocks offering reasonable space for central runs. Central AC gives even air distribution and better efficiency than multiple splits, but on-site duct cutting leaves small gaps bleeding cold air and moisture, especially in Jeddah's humid climate. Our workshop-made ducts arrive precisely measured to your project with tight seams and thick insulation, maintaining system efficiency and cutting monthly running costs.
Al Huda is in south Jeddah, a modern residential area with villas and blocks set on relatively open plots.
Most modern villas and blocks here use overhead ducts hidden in gypsum ceilings or underfloor runs in raised floors.
The AC setup in Al Huda
- 1
Overhead ducts in gypsum ceilings
Most modern villas and blocks in Al Huda have gypsum ceilings that take overhead supply ducts with complete concealment.
- 2
Underfloor ducts in raised floors
Modern apartment blocks often use raised floors, making it easy to run return ducts underneath.
- 3
Simple plenums in available cavities
Intermediate plenums install easily in inter-floor or ceiling cavities, distributing air to different zones.

FAQ
Questions about AC duct manufacturing
How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?
We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.
Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?
Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.
Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?
Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.
Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?
Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.
Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?
The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.
Our villa is new and large, can one central AC system cool all floors?
It depends on how many floors and total area. A large villa may work with one system dividing ducts into zones, or two separate systems for lower and upper floors. We visit to measure and determine what works best.
Our gypsum ceilings are shallow, will the duct fit?
We use flat rectangular ducts instead of square to fit shallow heights. We measure actual clearance and design the duct to fit the available gap with no issues.
Humidity in Al Huda is very high, do insulated ducts prevent condensation?
Yes, thick insulation reduces the temperature gap between cold inside air and humid outside air, greatly reducing condensation. Sealed seams keep moisture out of the duct.
The apartment building has raised floors, can we run ducts underneath?
Yes, return ducts can run under raised floors easily. We need to confirm sufficient clearance and coordinate with your engineer to avoid conflicts with pipes or electrical runs.
