When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

What sets this district apart

Al Nakhil is a mid-scale residential and commercial zone with villas, duplexes and mid-rise apartment blocks in regular urban layout with standardised passages and spaces. Hand-cut ducts in this building type may not match the planned networks, causing leakage gaps and uneven cooling distribution. We manufacture ducts to precise project dimensions with complete insulation and tight sealing on every seam, ensuring no cold-air leakage and no moisture condensation inside the duct.

Al Nakhil, east Jeddah, is a mid-scale residential and commercial zone of villas, duplexes and mid-rise blocks in regular urban layout.

Most projects here use central AC with ducts routed in relatively standard dimensions through ceilings and internal walls.

The AC setup in Al Nakhil

  1. 1

    Central ducts with standard branches

Mid-scale Al Nakhil projects use a main duct system with standard branches linking the central unit to various rooms and zones.

  2. 2

    Insulated mid-size distribution boxes

We manufacture mid-size, fully insulated distribution boxes suited to the standard networks in residential and commercial projects.

  3. 3

    Insulation to consistent standards

Every duct in Al Nakhil is insulated to consistent, fixed standards, ensuring uniform cold retention across all sections.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Nakhil

  1. 1

Obtain the HVAC plan from the project engineer

Request the exact duct network plan, dimensions, routes and branches from the project engineer before the visit.

  2. 2

Confirm locations of central and indoor units

Confirm the central unit location (roof or yard) and indoor units in rooms and commercial zones.

  3. 3

Check corridors and ceilings are ready

Ensure corridors and open ceilings are ready for duct routing, and there is sufficient space to stage sections before fixing.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

What is the benefit of workshop-made ducts instead of on-site cutting?

Workshop-made ducts match the plan precisely, and every seam is insulated and sealed by injection, so there is no leakage or cold loss, unlike hand-cutting which leaves gaps.

Is the cost higher for manufactured ducts?

Initial cost may seem higher, but you save on metal waste and on-site labour, and gain a more efficient and longer-lasting system.

Do manufactured ducts withstand the intense heat in Al Nakhil?

Yes, thick insulation and tight sealing maintain the cold inside the duct even in intense heat, reducing heat loss from outside.

How do you balance flow between main ducts and branch runs?

We design distribution boxes and branch plenums by room size and expected cooling load, ensuring balanced flow to every space.
