When duct quality makes the difference

  1. 1

    Duct losing cold air

An open seam or an unsealed joint loses cold air before it reaches the room. We close every seam with Foster sealant in the workshop before shipping, so the seal does not depend on site work alone.

  2. 2

    Condensation wetting the ceiling

In Jeddah's humid air any bare metal surface sweats and drips onto the ceiling or damages the unit insulation. We wrap with Kimmco or Armaflex at the thickness the site calls for.

  3. 3

A project with many duct runs

A villa or commercial building needs main trunks, branches and plenums in several sizes. We make sections in the workshop numbered to the site plan, so the hanging crew assembles without cutting or adjusting.

Who it's for

  • Replacing your villa's AC and need new ductwork

We make supply and return trunks and plenums to your villa's dimensions, insulated and numbered, ready for the hanging crew without any on-site cutting.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Send sizes or drawings

Send us the duct drawing or a list of section sizes. If sizes are not fixed yet, we agree a site survey before production starts.

  2. 2

    Review sizes and sheet gauge

We check each section's dimensions and pick the right sheet thickness for the duct size, then confirm quantities with you before cutting begins.

  3. 3

    Fabricate, seal and insulate

We cut and fold the G90 galvanised sheet, lock the seams with Foster sealant, and wrap each section with Kimmco or Armaflex insulation in the workshop before shipment.

  4. 4

    Number and deliver

We mark each section with its position and dimension from the site plan, so the hanging team identifies every piece without confusion and starts work on arrival.

  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.

What sets this district apart

Al Sanabel is experiencing rapid growth with new residential projects and mid-rise apartment blocks, all relying on central AC distributed through lengthy ductwork networks. On-site duct cutting leaves gaps that bleed cold air and drive up electricity bills, and Jeddah's intense humidity heightens condensation risk on unsealed internal surfaces. Manufacturing in the workshop ensures every seam is sealed tightly and fully insulated before delivery to site.

Al Sanabel lies in south Jeddah, a growing modern district with large residential developments and newly built apartment complexes.

New projects in Al Sanabel typically use central AC systems rather than splits, requiring coordinated ductwork networks.

The AC setup in Al Sanabel

  1. 1

Main supply and return trunk ducts

Large residential projects in Al Sanabel need lengthy main trunks to distribute air from the central unit across multiple floors.

  2. 2

    Plenums and branch runs

Each floor or unit needs secondary distribution points connected to the main trunk via intermediate plenums.

  3. 3

    Full insulation across all ducts

Workshop-made ducts arrive fully insulated to prevent moisture condensation and heat loss in Jeddah's humid climate.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Al Sanabel

  1. 1

Obtain project drawings and exact dimensions

Send the mechanical design drawings and required duct dimensions based on the central unit location and air outlets.

  2. 2

Confirm the central unit outlet size

Confirm the air outlet dimensions of the central unit or chiller to match the main duct inlet precisely.

  3. 3

    Agree delivery and installation timing

Numbered ducts are delivered to the construction schedule, coordinating with the installation crew to ensure safe access and swift assembly.

FAQ

Questions about AC duct manufacturing

How do you make sure the duct does not leak air at the seams?

We close the long seams with a tight mechanical lock as the sheet is formed, then seal every seam and every joint between sections with Foster sealant before insulating. Sections leave the workshop with matching flanges that tighten evenly when hung, because any small gap in cold duct means lost air and a point where condensation forms.

Does the duct arrive ready to hang, or is it assembled on site?

Sections arrive fabricated, insulated, sealed and numbered to the route drawing, so the fitters know where each piece goes without cutting or altering on site. What is left on site is joining the sections, fixing them to the hangers and connecting the unit and outlets, which shortens the work above the ceiling.

Do you make plenums for cassette and cabinet units?

Yes, we fabricate plenums for both types. A cassette unit plenum is measured to match the unit's outlet frame exactly so air reaches the branch runs without leaking at the connection. A cabinet unit plenum is made to carry both the supply and return paths if the design calls for it. Both types are insulated with Kimmco or Armaflex and sealed with Foster sealant before they leave the workshop.

Can you manufacture duct for a large commercial project?

Yes. The workshop is equipped to fabricate large supply and return trunk runs suited to commercial, government and industrial buildings. Each section is made to the project drawings, numbered and delivered ready to hang after insulation and sealing. When engineering drawings are available, the technical team reviews them before fabrication starts to confirm that the duct dimensions fit the ceiling voids on site.

Why are the duct sections insulated in the workshop before delivery?

The duct carries cold air through a ceiling void that may be hot and humid. Without external insulation, water vapour condenses on the cold sheet and drips onto the false ceiling or the goods below. So each section is wrapped in Kimmco or Armaflex in our workshop and every edge and joint is sealed with Foster sealant before delivery.

Do you manufacture ducts for new residential projects in Al Sanabel?

Yes, we manufacture supply, return and plenum ducts in full according to your project drawings and central AC requirements. We seal every seam with Foster sealant and deliver the ducts numbered and ready to install on site.

On-site duct cutting creates gaps, how does workshop manufacturing solve this?

Workshop manufacturing ensures precise dimensions and tight sealing of every joint before delivery, eliminating cold air leakage and performance loss unlike hand-cutting on site.

Jeddah's high humidity affects ducts, does full insulation protect against it?

Yes, full insulation prevents moisture condensation on the duct's inner surfaces, especially in sections carrying cold air through the hot, humid zones.

The ducts are numbered, does this ease installation on site?

Yes, each section is numbered and cut to the project drawings, so the installation team simply follows the numbers and connects the ducts accurately with no re-measuring or cutting.
