Who needs workshop-fabricated duct?

  1. 1

    A contractor with project-specific sizes

Your project has non-standard sizes or volumes too large for site cutting. We fabricate rectangular and round sections from your drawings at exact dimensions, labelled and ready to hang when they reach the site.

  2. 2

Fittings too awkward to cut on site

Elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs come out distorted when cut by hand on site, leaking air and creating noise in the line. We make them in the workshop at the right dimensions with tight seams.

  3. 3

Extending or renovating an existing duct network

You need new branches, a damaged section replaced or a fitting that matches an old duct size. We measure the existing network on site and fabricate the pieces to match what is already there.

Who it's for

  • Building a facility that needs non-standard duct sizes

We read your project drawings and fabricate all sections and fittings at exact dimensions from G90 or aluminium sheet, labelled and ready to hang the moment they reach your site.

How we work

How we work

  1. 1

    Take measurements

A technician visits the site or you send us the drawings; we list every duct section needed, its size and the correct sheet thickness for that section.

  2. 2

    Fabricate sections and fittings

We cut, form and lock the sheet in the workshop, including all elbows, transitions, offsets and takeoffs, and each section comes out at its exact dimension.

  3. 3

    Label and prepare for delivery

We number every section and fitting against the assembly plan so the installation crew knows exactly where each piece goes, with no guessing on site.

  4. 4

    Deliver to site

We deliver the duct to your Jeddah site protected and ready to hang. If you need an installation crew, we can arrange that as a separate step.

Some of our work

Ductwork, rooftop units and diffusers, from work we've completed in Jeddah.

  • Galvanized rectangular duct trunk with branch takeoffs and round diffusers, hung from a black ceiling, a Carrier unit visible behind — interior finishing stage.
  • Round diffusers and a spiral duct trunk in a tiled stairwell service shaft.
  • Rooftop ductwork and an exhaust fan, with Jeddah buildings in the background.
  • Rooftop packaged AC units with rectangular duct transitions, city buildings behind.
  • Insulated rooftop duct run beside a packaged unit, a warehouse roof in the background.
  • A grid of round diffusers in an open-plan office ceiling, mid-construction.
  • An insulated rooftop duct elbow, against a mountainous backdrop.
  • Large insulated ductwork running along a factory ceiling, with workers visible below.
  • A yellow round diffuser mid-installation, with spiral duct and a suspended ceiling grid.
  • Duct insulation wrap in progress on a construction site, bare duct still exposed.
  • A black-painted duct trunk with round diffusers and track lighting, in a finished retail interior.
  • An indoor AHU unit connected to round ductwork in a mechanical plant room, exposed concrete ceiling.

What sets this district apart

Prince Fawaz South is a modern district with large residential projects, hotels and expansive commercial space, where most new buildings rely on central AC systems rather than splits, requiring complex ductwork networks running through suspended ceilings and interior walls. Cutting duct on site causes performance loss and poor sealing between misaligned pieces, whereas workshop fabrication ensures each piece arrives to exact dimensions with tight joints.

Prince Fawaz South sits in Jeddah's southern sector, a district of large modern projects with complex central AC systems.

Most of the large hotel and residential projects here use rectangular aluminium or galvanised steel duct to cover long spans at high efficiency.

The AC setup in Prince Fawaz South

  1. 1

Complex rectangular duct with multiple takeoffs

Large projects in Prince Fawaz require complex rectangular duct networks with multiple branch runs to different zones, which we fabricate complete in the workshop to match drawings precisely.

  2. 2

    Tight-sealing bends and transitions

Fabricated duct includes smooth bends and diameter transitions with tight-sealed joints to stop air leakage across the entire network.

  3. 3

Aluminium or galvanised steel per project requirement

We select the material to match project requirements and site conditions for moisture and heat, with large projects often preferring galvanised steel for durability.

Before the visit

Before our visit in Prince Fawaz South

  1. 1

    Provide the project engineering drawings

Send us a copy of the mechanical system drawings showing duct routing and required sizes, or prepare the site for us to measure accurately.

  2. 2

Confirm outdoor and indoor unit locations

Ensure the mounting locations for outdoor and indoor units and air intake and return points are clearly marked for us, as this determines duct length and required bends.

  3. 3

Coordinate with the site mechanical and electrical teams

Inform the project team of our site visit timing, and ensure that passages and suspended ceilings are accessible for us to measure safely.

FAQ

Questions about Duct fabrication

Can you fabricate from drawings without visiting the site?

Yes, when the drawings are clear and carry the actual as-built dimensions. If a dimension is uncertain or a field change has been made, we prefer a site visit to avoid a fabricated piece that does not fit. We discuss the better approach with you before starting work.

What is the difference between galvanized and aluminium sheet for duct?

G90 galvanized sheet is the standard choice for interior duct: strong and suited to a range of pressures. Aluminium is lighter and handles Jeddah's coastal humidity and salt air better, making it right for some exposed applications or where structural load is a limiting factor. The correct choice depends on the site.

Can you make elbows and transitions to match an existing duct network?

Yes. We measure the existing network on site to match sizes precisely, whether you need a new branch added, a damaged fitting replaced or an extension tied into the original ductwork. The right approach is confirmed after the site visit.

How do you choose sheet thickness for each section?

Thickness follows section size: a large duct needs heavier sheet to hold its shape under pressure, a small one can use lighter material. We apply the SMACNA requirements to each section in the project individually, not a single thickness across the whole job.

Does Jeddah's humidity and salt air affect which sheet material to use?

Yes, particularly for sections exposed to outdoor air or installed near fresh-air intakes. G90 galvanized sheet performs well inside the building, but aluminium is the better choice where duct is in continuous contact with Jeddah's humid, salt-laden air. The site survey determines the right material for each section.

Can you fabricate duct for the hotels and large projects in Prince Fawaz South?

Yes, we fabricate rectangular and round duct from galvanised steel or aluminium in our workshop, including complex bends, transitions and takeoffs from your drawings or our site measurements.

Large projects here have tight schedules, how do you handle fast delivery?

We measure the site and return to the workshop to fabricate quickly, with duct arriving nested and ready to install without delaying the project schedule.

Prince Fawaz is hot and dry, does this affect duct materials?

The high heat and dry air can cause expansion in metal duct, so we select materials and designs that account for this thermal movement to maintain performance and seal integrity.

Do the outdoor units for central AC need special electrical runs separate from the ductwork?

Yes, the outdoor unit needs a separate electrical run sized to its capacity, while the ductwork itself carries no power, but we coordinate with the electrical contractor to ensure compatibility.
