When you need a retail HVAC specialist
- 1
A new mall or shopping centre
A poor design from the start means cold zones next to stifling ones and endless tenant complaints. We study the heat load of each zone separately and choose the right unit type before the ceiling is built.
- 2
An existing shop with uneven cooling
The back of the shop is cold while the front near the door stays hot at peak hours. The cause is usually the air outlet layout or the unit size; a site survey identifies which and fixes the problem without replacing the whole system.
- 3
Condensate dripping on shelves or display
A single drip on stock or a glass display front damages the product and the shop's image. The cause is usually weak insulation, a blocked condensate line or an unlevel unit, all of which can be diagnosed and fixed in one visit.
Who it's for
Opening a new shop inside a mall
We design an independent unit for your space and install ductwork and condensate lines before finishing work so your opening is not delayed.
Ask on WhatsAppManaging an existing commercial complex
We review the existing system and set a preventive and corrective maintenance contract scheduled outside trading hours so tenants are not affected.

How we work
How we work
- 1
Site survey and loads
We visit the site and map every heat source: entrances, lighting, expected crowd density and facade orientation, then size the units correctly for each section.
- 2
Design and materials
We design the duct network in our own workshop from G90 galvanised sheet to dimensions that give even air distribution, and select units from brands we distribute such as Carrier, YORK and Gree.
- 3
Installation coordinated on site
We coordinate installation with the project programme so ductwork does not delay finishing trades, and run Mueller copper in runs of up to 30 metres without welded joints to reduce potential leak points.
- 4
Start-up and maintenance contract
We start up the system and check air distribution in every section, then set a preventive and corrective maintenance schedule timed so work never overlaps with the shop's trading hours.
Designed for the space or just fitted?
| Alrabih | The usual way | |

| Condensate | Dedicated line away from stock | Risk of drips on shelves |
| Maintenance | Scheduled outside shop hours | Surprise outage during trade |
| Copper purity | Mueller copper, 99% pure, no welds | Unspecified pipe source |

What sets this district apart
Al Marj has fairly spaced shops in newly built structures with high ceilings and spacious floors, making central HVAC systems practical and efficient. However, the retail nature of the area means shops stay open long and doors open repeatedly, with foot traffic swinging between slow and peak hours. The HVAC system needs to be flexible, rebalancing quickly when heat loads shift, without creating condensation that damages goods.
Al Marj lies in north-east Jeddah, a modern-growth district of retail shops in contemporary buildings with high ceilings.
Most shops and retail stores in Al Marj run central air systems with distributed ducts or strong package units, because of the wide open spaces and high ceilings.
The AC setup in Al Marj
- 1
Central HVAC with distributed ducts
Larger retail spaces in Al Marj benefit from central systems with ducts spread so cool air reaches every corner evenly.
- 2
Multi-zone systems for separate control
Very large retail spaces split their system into zones (goods display, checkouts, stockrooms), each with independent controls tuned to its own needs.
- 3
Heavy-duty package units with enhanced ventilation
Some standalone retail spaces rely on powerful package units with high-grade filters and separate ventilation ducts to pull fresh air from outside.

FAQ
Questions about Mall & retail HVAC
How do you handle doors that open onto the street all day?
An open door pushes in hot humid air and spikes the heat load suddenly. We include that load in the design and direct a supply outlet above the entrance to form an air barrier that reduces mixing. The survey confirms which arrangement suits each specific doorway.
Do you install separate units for each mall tenant?
Yes. A separate unit per tenant means each shop controls its own cooling and a fault in one unit does not affect the neighbour. It also makes consumption readings straightforward and makes maintenance responsibility clear for each party.
Why do you prefer rooftop packaged units for malls?
A rooftop packaged unit keeps the condenser and evaporator in one casing above the roof, freeing every inch of shop floor from outdoor units and shortening the duct run. Maintenance happens on the roof without entering the shop, which fits scheduling work outside trading hours.
How do you handle Jeddah's heat and its effect on rooftop units?
Rooftop units in Jeddah work in hot, salty and dusty air that strains the condenser and speeds fin corrosion. We specify units with corrosion-resistant coatings and include coil cleaning and compressor and condenser checks in the preventive schedule of every maintenance contract.
Does air distribution design differ between a small shop and a large mall?
The site survey decides. A small shop may need only a concealed unit with directional grilles, while a mall requires a duct network with dampers zoned by area. In both cases the positions of lighting, visitor traffic and entry doors are recorded before supply outlets are placed.
Foot traffic varies hour to hour, how does the system handle that?
We size for peak load, but install smart controls that adjust compressor and fan speeds to actual demand, saving power in light hours and boosting capacity during busy times.
Do the high ceilings make cooling harder?
High ceilings in Al Marj increase the volume to cool, but modern buildings have good insulation and strong units. We install ducts that distribute cold air downward efficiently without it hanging at the top.
Large shops here have different zones (display, checkout, stockroom), do they need different temperatures?
Yes, we can split the system into separate zones so the display area stays cool for goods, the checkout stays comfortable for staff, and the stockroom maintains moderate humidity.
Ventilation and fresh air matter in large retail spaces, how do you ensure air quality?
We install high-efficiency filters and ducting that draws fresh air from outside and redistributes it through the space. Regular filter cleaning ensures the indoor air stays healthy and free of odours and pollutants.
